For the Birds (2001)
One by one, a flock of small birds perches on a telephone wire. Sitting close together has problems enough, and then comes along a large dopey bird that tries to join them. The birds of a feather can't help but make fun of him - and their clique mentality proves embarrassing in the end.

Dreadfully Boring
As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
For The Birds is a story about acceptance. The story is as follows. A group of very snobby high class birds are siting on a power line yipping at each other, when a huge goofy bird settles in on the line. Very disturbed by the presence of this large oaf the snobs try to push him off of the power line. You could even think of it like Caddyshack. The snobby birds are Ted Knight, and the big goofy bird is Rodney Dangerfield. It's a very funny little short film that does a good job in showing us all the true meaning of tolerance. If you over think it of course. If you don't over think it it's just a funny little short. It's good either way.
When I first saw this short movie, I just couldn't stop laughing. The behavior of the birds in the group... right on the spot!!! It's not just the animation of Pixar, it's the storyline as well. I can watch this over and over again...This company is on the top for years now, and every new movie or short that is released, adds another quality to the skills of Pixar. 'For the Birds' is also released on a separate DVD, with a collection of short animations of Pixar. So if you don't want to buy every Pixar-movie (I couldn't think of any reason why You would not want to buy the best there is), get the DVD with the collection of Pixar shorts...
Pixar remind us how versatile the short film is as an art form in this hilarious, somewhat silent short that serves to illustrate how the studio would later go on to succeed in shaping the equally serene opening act of their 2008 release 'Wall-E', another consecutive box-office hit for Pixar despite the brave lack of dialogue, which polarises mature viewers as much as it does youngsters.Displaying great craftsmanship in its cinematography with a flawless choice of angles and shots, 'For The Birds' is a perfect example of classic comedy in its simplest form. Less is more.10/10
Possibly one of the funniest films I've ever seen, even if it is 'only' a short. I saw it before Monsters Inc. in the cinema, and I'd have to say I laughed more at 'For the Birds' than the entirety of Monsters Inc. Great stuff.
