Little Man (2006)

Really Surprised!

I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

Little Man (2006): Dir: Keenan Ivory Wayans / Cast: Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Kerry Washington, Tracy Morgan, Chazz Palminteri: Another Wayans brothers crap fest only this time it regards small factors within extraordinary situations or responsibilities. With special effects that are every bit as horrid as the makeup jobs in White Chicks, Marlon Wayans's head is digitally placed on a midget's body and he poises as a toddler in order to retrieve a stolen diamond from a couple conflicting career and family. Lame and predictable plot with Marlon treated as a baby and Shawn adapting to fatherhood. This leads to one of the stupidest climaxes of the year where they fend off bad guys. Directed by Keenan Ivory Wayans who only proves that the poor quality of White Chicks is contagious. Marlon proves that being a toddler should be left by actual toddlers. Shawn Wayans and Kerry Washington play a couple of morons who cannot seem to figure out that their idiot son has a grown man's face. Tracy Morgan plays Marlon's idiot accomplice. Any parental theme in this travesty should be discarded. Chazz Palminteri plays some mob type character and like the title character, it is a total shrinkage of his career. This is one of the worst films of the year and it should be placed in a diaper bag and heaved off a cliff. Parents need to raise their children to avoid films this bad. Score: 1 / 10

Spoiler Alert!!! This movie was all about how many blows to the crotch it could land. There's so many let's see first he hits Daryl in the crotch with many toys. It's not funny the first time! Then he punches John Witherspoon there, because hey as a little guy he couldn't take him down any other way. Then after climbing inside Rob's suit Calvin bites Rob Schneider presumably in the crotch. And at the end he hits all three of the criminals in the crotch at least once. I mean it gets old and just isn't funny at all. This film's script really isn't all that good either I mean seriously Calvin is a bad guy that deserved to get sent back to jail. Why would it end the way it did? Because it's a movie and the director didn't care! Overall I give it a 1 out of 10 because of the pot to the head scene. The people who saw it would know. Look on Youtube for it

Little Man really is something off a last resort, I hate that I'm slagging off this film because I really am a fan off the Wayans brothers & co. (Shawn & Marlon Wayans act & Keenen Ivory Wayans directs) however this really is not one of there finest pieces at all! The film is boring in many scenes and just isn't funny and is very unbelievable I mean the doctor doesn't even notice this is a 40 year old man pretending to be a child off less then 2 years I mean the 'kid' has a full set off teeth, a tattoo & a stab scar! Apart from the fact it's so unbelievable it's laughable the film is almost disturbing I mean the 'kid' Calvin is practically morally wrong and almost a pervert I must have laughed about twice but most of the sex jokes really were vulgar and unnecessary. The whole film is just weird that Calvin thought it was OK to actually pretend to be someone's child. Mostly I didn't like this film apart from the occasional laugh. Really is a last resort to watch.

Best movie I've seen in a month and I've seen some shitty movies! I read a pageful of flacking reviews for this saying the good ole "this is the worst movie I've seen". Oh, please. Once you get over the fact that Marlon Wayans is playing a cgi-faced baby you'd realize this is actually a not so bad comedy. In fact, it's very entertaining. And it actually has some heart, which is always a huge plus. Every actor does their job without a gripe. The only off-putting thing is when the "baby" goes off-character and becomes the thug he is, but that's part of the whole plot, so... In the end, comedy is always an acquired taste. Give this a shot if you like the Wayans Bros and mindless family fun!
