It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

BALLOONS?What the hell..This movie is unfortunately unbearable to watch. I am sorry to say this and to take the time to point out how flawed and pretentious this movie is but I feel I have the duty to tell. And I think the blame is mostly on the director who has NO eye for photography and lighting.. the shots are flat and, I am sorry to say, but amateur looking. The lighting would have made all the difference and a good DOP would have certainly helped.PLEASE STOP IT WITH THE BALLOON ALREADY.. its the worst imagery symbolism I saw in a long while. The actors are all overdoing it especially the punk-horny-then-turned- intellectual guy......I am sure this was maybe fun to shoot, but holy god its horrible. And the music is again tries to be some sort of symbolism too, but it just doesn't work.. but oh god the lighting.. and the writing... The characters says stupid inane stuff. Would not recommend and would not even discuss among friends. I am sorry but this movie is a complete wet fart. OH before I go I will say the opening credit was the only thing I truly enjoyed and it had me somewhat intrigued. Yet laughing at the flying golf clubs because it reminded me of Caddy Shack instantly.

I can't believe some of the hateful rants packaged here as unbiased reviews. Hard to believe they watched the same movie I saw at the Los Angeles Fear and Fantasy Film Festival just a few months ago, or even watched the movie at all, because the comments bear no relation to what I saw. Anyway, like many in Burbank that night, I enjoyed the film from start to finish and would recommend it with good conscience to anyone looking for a great surreal psychological drama. RJ Mitte is seen here in his first feature film since "Breaking Bad', and Lindsey Haun and Blake Berris are great to look at and watch in demanding parts. Some big laughs too in the weirdly comic dialog and the over all look is far superior to most low budget indie movies. That said, probably not for most horror fans. More like Twilight Zone.

This is a pretty amazing little indie gem that I would recommend to anyone looking for something way off the beaten path. Stay clear if you're impatient or into splatter and gore. I see a lot of genre films are breaking away from Lionsgate formula horror, not as successful as this one, not that I would place this one into the horror category, but it does tamper around the edges of horror, although in a much more restrained and psychological and methodical way. It was great to see Breaking Bad's RJ Mitte in a feature film and especially one so demanding and twisted. His first feature. Blake Berris' played his transformation to perfection and Lindsey Haun convinces here too, as as she did so well in True Blood.
