Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

Review: This is wasn't too bad. As usual, no one listened to the little girl who is seeing dead people, which made this film not that original and pretty irritating in places. It seemed quite repetitive and a drag in places but I have seen worse. I wanted the director to get on with the core of the storyline because he spent ages filming dead people popping around the house doing mysterious things. When it finally gets going, it ends up being an average paranormal movie but what got to me was the ending when you see the actually people that went through the odd experience. I honestly thing that the director should have got some decent actors to play the roles because the little girl was the only person that really stood out. Average!Round-Up: I'm not a big fan of horror movies so I'm not the best person to review this movie. I did like the little girl in this movie, who put the adults to shame, but the script wasn't good enough to make me think that it was a classic. It's another one of those horror movies when the audience are shouting at the screen saying "Get Out Of the House" but as usual, the adults just don't listen. There are so many weird things happening around the family in there new house, it really makes you wonder if they enjoyed getting visited by dead people. Anyway, there are some parts that are pretty gruesome, but in all, it's your everyday horror movie.Budget: $9million Worldwide Gross: N/AI recommend this movie to people who are into there paranormal movies about family who move to a new house and end up seeing dead people. 3/10

During and after watching this film, I spent a long time trying to think of films which I thought were worse than this, I couldn't think of any.I literally made an IMDb account just so that I can warn the rest of the human race about this absolute abysmal excuse of a sequel. Not only did I make the IMDb account, I am also waffling on right now just so I meet the 10 line minimum because I have been so offended by this film.If I was to right a full summary of this movie I still wouldn't be able to fill the necessary 10 lines because the plot could have been written better Katie Price. If I were given the opportunity I would spend all my money to fly to America and let the director know that he is a first class wazzack and would give him a medal of dishonour celebrating his lack of talent. I do however have to commend the bravery of the producers who allowed this to happen.

I watched this film shortly after watching the first one, obviously it is clear the films have no relevance to one another which kind of annoys me as then why label a film as something 2 when it isn't even remotely similar to the original. Anyway despite this , the movie could of been a good movie off its own back without being attached to the original movie perhaps just called the ghosts of Georgia. It did make me jump was very jumpy in places, one of the better story lines. However the little girls acting was better than anyone else. Although no one can ever explain that they get to look at chad Michael Murray for over an hour, that's certainly enjoyable.

The Haunting in Conneticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia (2012) It wasn't until about halfway through the film that I realized this sequel, in a bold/confusing/weird move, has absolutely nothing to do with the original, aside from the very tenuous plot connection of a family moving into a house where they experience the paranormal consequences of the actions of the previous tenants. On the one hand, not much more could likely have been milked out of the first family's story- on the other hand, we've seen sequels try to continue and up the ante on the paranormal activities of the same ghosts on different people. This was definitely a different choice- and apparently one that will be continued in the 3rd installment in the series, apparently set in New York.In this sequel, ('inspired', 'based on', whatever, a true story) a family with a history of paranormal sensitivity moves to Georgia, followed shortly by the mother's sister, who is also prone to seeing spirits. When the two women were girls, they were often terrified by a "dark figure" only they could see and could sense was evil. Shortly after, the family's young daughter starts to have conversations with an invisible man and her mother begins to worry that her own neuroses are being visited upon her daughter. After consulting with several different types of experts, the family begins to learn the history behind their property and why their daughter might be experiencing these visitations. Partly through research and partly by accident they learn some uncomfortable truths about the violent past of the area and its inhabitants. Things I liked: -The setting. The deep, woodsy south is always a great setting for scares! -The little girl. Her performance was the only one not utterly forgettable- not overdone, engaging, etc. -The ultimate resolution: good setup for a haunting- not incredibly original but not overly hackneyed.Meh: -The adults. Sorry Chad. Not likable or interesting enough to root for. -Basically the whole middle. I don't even remember half of the experts or why we're supposed to care that the Mom had similar experiences as a little girl- and I'm totally confused as to how they're supposed to be related when it was a different house??Overall, I THINK I liked it as well as or better than the original, which counts as success for a sequel, right? Or also shows that the original wasn't terrible but wasn't all that great either. I think I pretty much liked and disliked all the same components.Like this review?
