Very Cool!!!
I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
The first episode was interesting and based on a quite new idea, definitively better than this one. This sequel doesn't get the point, the story has big gap, the characters are flat with no past to tell and with no evolution during the movie, the vampire can be injured an killed by shotgun and mini gun and hordes of vampire can be stopped just by a looked door..OK isn't a baby vampire movie and isn't a first love movie as (twilight saga) and I have to say that the story is also quite dark, but after 30 minutes I found very difficult to continue watching it until end. If you want to watch a nice vampire movie take a look at something else
Well, I guess it's my fault after all. I half expected that Dark Days would be at least half as good as the original, and guess what - it isn't. Not by a long shot, not even close. Where do I begin?Out of mere convenience, let's start with the screenplay/story. The sole survivor of the tragedy of the first film had moved out, and started giving lectures about what happened, amusing skeptics and conspiracy fans alike. When she crosses the line and kills some vampires, this new version of Blade Trinity's "night stalkers" finds her. They are presented as a well organized and capable group of vampire slayers, only to turn out to be amateurs and simply stupid. The humans serving the vampires in hopes of joining them are this time referred to as "bug eaters" rather than "familiars", and the entire charade seems like someone has been watching a little too much blade. Very much like Matrix Reloaded, this sequel tried to "zoom out" story-wise, and has done a very poor job. I can't go into details of the dumb things the group does without being tempted to give out spoilers, let's just say they have good weapons they for some reason don't use, take no time to plan, and rely on suicidal instincts after having allegedly done this "vampire slaying" thing for over 2 years. And of course - how could this be a bad film without an unnecessary sex scene? Now let's move over to the vampires. I was so impressed by how they looked, sounded and behaved in the first film. In this one the overused old stereotype was used again and the vampires look almost completely human, not to mention the beautiful sexy matriarch, nothing resembling the creepy hideous monsters in the first film. That's all I have to say. Frustrated, disappointed and yet trying to remain impartial and objective - I rate this film 4. You may disagree. Watch it if you will, but expect the worst. That's the only way you'll enjoy it.
Having survived the original massacre in Alaska, a woman finds herself joined with a group of vampire slayers to take down the mastermind behind the original group's plans of attacking the town when she arrives in Los Angeles to get over the whole ordeal. This turned out to be a surprisingly enjoyable effort, though it has some flaws. The positives are mostly due to an extreme amping up of gore here which makes for some incredibly messy scenes including several raids on vampire hideouts, a ton of shootouts and even a lot of great messy kills on both species, which makes for some great times. The extra layer to their society explored here makes for some creepy moments and even makes them a lot more intelligent than previously thought, which is helped along by the nice detail given in the story as well as the action scenes throughout, though it could use a bit more explanation as to what happened amongst the group which just seems a little short and not all that detailed. Overall, a great sequel and definitely worthwhile.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language and Full Nudity.
Watch this movie if you are having a frustrating day and need to release some anger by yelling at the TV screen. The screenwriter and director should donate they're pay to charity. A shameful sequel to a great original. Worthless is a compliment. The acting and dialog in this movie is some of the worst I've seen in a horror movie...as if that is so needed in this genre. For true vampire fans you will be insulted. For those who enjoy horror and are above the age of 18 you've seen it all before and done better. Steve Niles and Ben Katai need to find new lines of employment because if I see your names in the credits I will avoid watching. I just wasted 90 minutes of my life and I want a refund of time and money.
