Catwoman (2004)
Liquidated after discovering a corporate conspiracy, mild-mannered graphic artist Patience Phillips washes up on an island, where she's resurrected and endowed with the prowess of a cat — and she's eager to use her new skills... as a vigilante. Before you can say "cat and mouse", handsome gumshoe Tom Lone is on her tail, fascinated by both of her personas.

Excellent, a Must See
A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
The movie really just wants to entertain people.
I watched this movie again just because of the low ratings on Imdb. I remembered I liked this movie in the theatre 15 years ago. And to my surprise this movie was still very entertaining. And that's how you have to watch this movie, as pure entertainment. Please don't talk me about the lack of depth in the movie or that the vilans are too hollow, really... never seen a comic book that went deep! Now we're gonna get J. Phoenix as the next Joker, before we already had Jack & Heath, and every one of them irritated me to the point that I couldn't enjoy the Batman. And the critics say those actors brought depth to the vilan character, man I can do irritating crazy too. This movie is enjoyable, has humor, something mystic with the cats, some romance, has a nice pace, nice action and very good CGI for it's time. And you can watch it with the whole family. If you call this movie ridiculous, than so are the Spiderman movies with Maguire.
(Flash Review)Apologies to Michelle Pfeiffer as this movie is a huge wart on the legacy of the character she brilliantly breathed life into. The goal of this movie must just have been to get Halle Berry and Sharon Stone to battle in eye catching outfits as the core story was crap and shallow with zero tension and no intrigue. With a similar core character plot as Catwoman in Batman, she has a mean boss, dies and comes back to life with goofy cat instincts. The CGI animation of her leaping about as a cat is burst out loud laughing terrible and for me the wrong tone as it took me out of whatever atmosphere they failed at generating. The evil plot point is about a dangerous skin care product with corporate greed at the center. Feel free to watch if you are in the mood for terrible dialog, comical CGI and shallow film making.
I don't know much about Catwoman, but this one is different from some I've seen. I'm not going to research origins here, but this one is interesting, imbuing her with real powers. The others I've seen are women who choose to be Catwoman. Here she is turned into Catwoman and has real cat-like behavior (see the movie and try to give the graphics a break). I believe that no movie actually rates a 1 or a 10. Voting a movie up or down to change its rating is misleading, which is the worst thing you can have on rating list site. That being said, it is NOT a 1 and it is NOT a 10! Stop it y'all! The good points I've gone over. Now the bad news. Weak story, simplistic dialogue and uneven CGI ruin the great premise that I liked. It is a 4 or a 5. But, I would watch it again. Another reviewer suggested that it might become a cult classic because its so bad. I think so too. There is something about Halle Berry's movements as Catwoman, both live and CGI that truly seem inhuman, and border on hilarious.
The idea of how Catwoman came to be should turn out a good viewing, but how was I wrong! The entire film unfolds as a lengthy music video clip for the choreographed fight scenes with many obvious CGI plans, interspersed with some dramatic takes so it can be called 'a movie'. It is especially the synonymous of 'style over substance', ideal for futile women - who are certainly the target audience of this product. Halle Berry's portrayal of Patience Phillips is acceptable, but as Catwoman she looks more like a ho than a respectable BD character - one can be sexy without being that, as Michelle Pfeiffer.
