Very well executed

How sad is this?

This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

Love don't cost a thing came as a wave of fresh air for me. I've always had a bias against American High School teen flicks coz i found them soo superficial and cliché.....but Love Don't cost a thing was a bit, just a tinsy bit more mature than that. There was nothing original about the cast or story line but i can contentedly say that it had a positive effect viewing it. LDCAT was well acted out and the cast suit it perfectly, i loved Harvey as usual...being his cocky self and Nick Cannon and the chick added flavour to the story line....the plot was the usual dorky guy goes cool and reverts back to dorkiness after he finds out that "coolness" doesn't live up to what its projected to be. It evoked emotion and thought...enough of it to warrant a watch. I actually felt the torment going through the characters lives as he strived to adapt to the system...and as i presume, a good movie is one that has the power to connect us with the characters. To cut the long story short...i think each and everyone can identify with at least one of the characters and i can undoubtedly say that most of us have at least gone through what is projected in the movie. My scepticism as to Teen Flicks diminished when i got to the core of the movie and without a doubt, LDCAT is an emotion evoker. It tells the story of American suburban youth trying to adapt and this can be replicated all over the world and in all walks of life. It was a good watch and i gave it a clean 8 out of 10. The ending was quite abrupt though but the chick really carried her role well...emotional distress and all....and as Steve Harvey would say....GET OF YOUR ASS AND HANDLE YOUR BIZZZNESS...my favorite quote of the movie.

I wasn't hoping much from this movie when I rented it just 'cause I had some free time to kill. I thought it might be just another teen movie. But I was pleasantly surprised.The all black star cast makes for an interesting watch. Some of the black babes are hot and not to mention Christina Milan, she's absolutely stunning. I would watch the movie again just for her.The plot doesn't seem very original but the script seems good. The direction is also not half bad.The emotions involved reminds you of your own good old days. The comedy is also good and I laughed many times. Do watch this movie, it's definitely not a waste of time.

Luckily, I didn't have to pay any cash to see this flick. As the other reviewers have mentioned, "Love don't Cost a Thing" is a remake of the 1987 movie "Cant Buy me Love". This movie was horrible from the beginning to the end. The only decent actors in this movie were Christina Milian and Kel Thomson. Nick Cannon's performance in this flick is way below average. Watching Nick Cannon act or tell jokes is like watching paint dry! Was there at least one good or decent scene in the whole movie? Yes! The beach scene was the only decent scene in the movie. You get to see Christina Milian in a hot outfit and you also get to see some hot chicks in bikinis. If it wasn't for this scene, the movie would get 0 stars. If I were to give this movie a letter grade, I would give it an F+. If you see copies of this movie in a store, break them or hide them somewhere.
