It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Some limited intellect thought building a story on stereotypes would be funny. It might be. This one is not even a story. And the end result is quite tasteless. So you have the white yahoo whom his father never loved, but with a lot of money. Like Batman, Iron Man, and many others. Actually these creative types standing behind the so called great comics are anything but creative, they are some sort of Sandra Brown with a writer's block. And the yahoo likes a girl. She must be tall, but not taller than him, white, blonde and single. Okay. These are the limited tastes of the comics crowd so why not of the yahoo as well? But here the acceptable part ends. The creative guy is an Asian guy who even says he does not speak English well. Only the Asian guy is a servant and remains a servant. The Russian is the criminal overlord with a self esteem problem. And so on.And even the car chase is dull. Never mind this is a story set up back in 1946 when there was no sex outside marriage and there were no police helicopters.Contact me with Questions, Comments or Suggestions ryitfork @ bitmail.ch

This is an awful movie. It has an awful story line. It keeps trying do be funny and it is not. They need a better writer then Seth Rogen. Has an actor he is not to bad. He is not a good writer. I do not know why this has a 5.8. I am surprised to find out that people like this movie. I do not know why. If you want to see a good action movie see Green Lantern. Do not see this. This not a 5.8. This is a 4. Batman (1989) is a great action movie. And this is crap. It is so not funny. Do not wast your time. Do not wast your money. Do not see this movie. It is an awful movie.

Aw! Poor rich-kid, Britt Reid. When he was but a sniveling, little brat of 8 his mean, old daddy tore the head right off one of his fave dolls, I mean, action-figures, and threw it away in disgust 'cause he resented his son for being such a wimp, playing with dolls. And this traumatic doll-decapitation ordeal by Daddy-Dearest scarred poor, little Britt for life. So, 20 years later you'll never guess how Britt (still a big, spoiled-rotten baby to the core) exacts his revenge against papa (who, of course, is now dead so Britt doesn't have to fret about being disinherited by the bastard). You know, the fact that Elmer Fudd, I mean, Seth Rogen, was actor/writer/producer of this stinking turd-of-a-movie explains everything very clearly to me. I think that Rogen (a real doofus dimwit) is the absolute personification of a talking sphincter who's got drippy diarrhea of the mouth and, yes, pure s-h-i-t for brains. This truly tiresome "seen-it-all-before" mess-of-a-movie scrapes the absolute bottom of the barrel when it comes to Comedy/Action/Superhero flicks. I honestly swear that this one's story was being made up as they went along.Thank goodness that the Green Hornet character didn't have any superpowers to boast about, 'cause, being the repulsive, self-loving slime that Rogen portrayed him as being, having any amazing abilities would've surely rendered him as being utterly vile and obnoxious beyond endurance. It really figured that it was, in fact, Kato who was the real genius behind the Green Hornet.I'm actually surprised that the self-centered Rogen (who co-wrote the script) allowed his character's blatant stupidity and uselessness to be revealed so clearly - 'Cause, with Kato being the brains of this less-than-dynamic-duo, this certainly reduced Rogen's Britt Reid character, of a bored, ass-wipe billionaire, to the level of being a complete blood-sucking leech who uses others for their skills and abilities and then thinks nothing of taking all of the credit for the good that may result from what others have accomplished. As of yet, I have not seen The Green Hornet TV series from 1966 which starred Van Williams as The Hornet and Bruce Lee as Kato - But, I have seen The Green Hornet serial from 1940 which starred Gordon Jones and Keye Luke in their respective roles....And, let me tell ya - In spite of all its many flaws, its b-grade effects, its laughable dialogue, etc-etc-etc, this vintage offering from 1940 was definitely about 100 times more entertaining and exciting than this disgustingly dismal and completely contemptible remake would ever be.It makes no sense to me why Rogen had to go and ruin the likes of The Green Hornet. Why couldn't he have just invented a whole, new superhero to please his over-inflated ego? Why did he have to go and utterly disgrace and belittle the likes of The Green Hornet? Why-oh-why? I honestly don't understand. It really is too bad that this $120 million miscalculation of precious, little Seth's didn't affect his popularity nor change the path of his acting career. But, I see that his rabid fans still love him to pieces and his brain-dead movies are still being rapidly churned out, ad nauseum. You know, the truth is, this detestable-excuse-for-a-movie isn't really worth writing a review about, at all. But, hey, I did waste nearly 2 hours watching this lousy piece of junk, so, I figure that I might as well make some sort of honest effort to try to trash it the best that I can. But, alas, it is of a great misfortune, indeed, that mere words are just not sufficient enough to express how I really feel about Seth Rogen and The Green Hornet. So, there!

This is a below average superhero movie where Seth Rogan and Jay Chou star in the movie update to the classic TV series starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee as the masked crime fighting team.As with any superhero movie, there are plenty of fight scenes and alter-ego suspense. The special effects were quite good and the story is average, nothing too exciting or impressing about it. Jay Chou made a pretty good Kato with his serious and die hard attitude and his skillful martial arts moves. Seth Rogan made an awful Green Hornet - obnoxious, loud, annoying and unsympathetic. His gruff, raspy and incredibly irritating voice made me glad that Kato delivered him several good punches. Cameron Diaz looked like she was thrown in for good measure. When you end up rooting against the lead superhero, there's really not much enjoyment in this movie.Grade D-
