Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
Ma che film/ mediometraggio di merda è? Ma per favore dai....guardatevi kopps
This movie does justice to the 1980s. I wish we could see more films like this. It was funny, had great fight scenes and incorporated funny cliches of the 1980s with taste.
A Miami cop trained in the art of Kung-Fu travels back in time to defeat the most powerful villain of all: Kung Fuhrer. Kung Fury is a movie so bad it is good. It has cheesy 80's references along with goofy fight scenes. Kung Fury, the main character himself, is the producer of the movie. Actors 8/10: All the actors fit into their roles, none of them ever seem out of it or hating their role. The actors are genuine and enjoy the movie and they look the part as well. Two characters in the movie are played by Swedish comedians with not much acting experience. Despite that they are genuine with their characters as German soldiers.Effects 6/10: The movie is very green screened but it is not obvious most of the time. One part of the movie that is noticeable is when Kung Fury jumps off his car. It is noticeable that it is green screened but at the same time the scene is meant to be funny. The 80's retro theme is very good though. The movie has an arcade feeling to it and it looks like a blast to the past. Another point in the movie that this cheesy 80's feel comes in is when Kung Fury travels back in time. He surfs on a keyboard through a Tron like portal.Plot 8/10: The plot hits exactly what it was trying to do: having a goofy 80's arcade movie. A Miami cop that goes back in time to fight Hitler. A funny and good movie overall that anybody can watch. Overall 8/10: The movie is a goofy and fun time that anyone can watch and enjoy. The actors are genuine and the overall effects are decent albeit sometimes noticeable. If you are looking for a movie to watch with friends that has references to old 80's TV shows this is a great choice for you. Plus, it has the Hoff 9000 Kung Fury's talking car.
This is the greatest film I've ever seen. Even tops Sharknado! It's like the writer spied on my dreams. If you are a gen x-er, you'll get even more out of it with the 80's references. Watch it today! I only wish they had made this into a full-length feature film, so we could explore the back stories of Tricera-Cop, Barbariosa and Hacker-man. My only complaint is there is a lot of cussing, so don't watch it around the kiddies, but much of the language adds to the raw-attitude and over-the-top stunts. Most important is do not miss the opening sequence. When I watch feature films, I usually spend the first 5 minutes in the kitchen getting snacks. This is action packed from the beginning. Some of the best stunts, which will have you standing up to cheer are int eh first 30 seconds!
