Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

This is the best movie the BRILLIANT Will Smith has ever made still to date!!! It's that good, it's a detective Mystery Thriller in a futuristic world ruled by Robots & it's so much fun. Smith plays a troubled Chicago detective named Del Spooner who doesn't trust Artificial intelligence at all & he has a good reason but i won't give anything away or go into the story as many already have but i will talk about the BRILLIANT world created in this absolute action packed masterpiece!!! Smith has never been better as this tough couldn't care less what you think troubled cop & he portrays it perfectly what a performance by Smith & what a cracking good exciting Thriller this is, it's a big budget blockbuster that has depth & mystery & Amazing visuals it's just a beautifully made film that rivals the likes of BLADERUNNER it's that good & it's my favourite sci-fi film of the lot & mainly due to Smith's incredible performance as Spooner. The movie is set in a futuristic Chicago Where robots do most of the usual daily jobs like garbage collection & bar keepers & walking peoples dogs & tons of other things & the city looks Amazing it has a slick & clean shiny silvery look to it very artificial & that works well with this being a movie all about Artificial intelligence, the cars looks Awesome & all the production design looks fantastic & very interesting, everything looks stunning, The FX are Amazing & cast is perfect all round but of course Smith is the one that really Shines & has created one of my favourite movie characters of all time i so wish he would bring this character back in a sequel? So yeah just a BRILLIANT film with a BRILLIANT music score & it's a film that is made for repeated viewing & oh my have i watched this hundreds of times & i had the pleasure of seeing this in the cinema!!! CLASSIC 10/10

It has nothing in common with Asimov's original scenario and made just for action. Three laws given at the beginning of the movie correctly but it has not been applied to the movie. The original story is much deeper and smarter than that even though it does not have this much action.

The movie I robot is the Isaac Asimov's book of the same name. The movie is about a policeman against advance technology, where people depend more and more on thecnology and less on themselves. In a near future where robots become a part of daily life in the cities to make easier the process. There are three laws that govern the robots: Law I: A robot may not harm a human or, by inaction, allow a human being to come to harm Law II: A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law Law III: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second lawThis laws may seem contradictory so they can preserve at all costs humanity. But when humanity doesn't want protection, what happens? If I order a robot to kill someone that may or may not harm, they must obey. But according to their laws they can't, because they are not killing machines. So the mere purpose of robots is to reduce to statistics and calculations so they can act, even against their owner. So their rules become null when there is a higher purpose at hand, they act on duty but we don't. https://pensarparaserfeliz.wordpress.com/2017/04/09/i-robot-and- minimalism/

It's a decent, the casting was relatively good as I think Will Smith is the only person who could handle his weirdly written character which is both comedic at times he has a personal connection with, such as when he meets with the CEO of USR, however on the other hand he gets very serious in others, seen in the scene where Calvin looks at Spooner's (dumb name) cyborg arm. I also didn't like the ending as I thought the message of "Robots will one day overtake humans" was lost when no one died and everyone is happy and the corrupted robots go back to their storage containers and Sunny stands under a bridge for a cool shot.So why'd I give it an 8? Well I really like the number eight it's my favorite number and it's a decent score for a decent movie. The movie is fun, people like fun movies and most audiences would enjoy it. I also liked the few Cyberpunk elements that were included in the movie.
