The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Satan, I mean, Malcolm McDowell, because you produced the movie and played the role of Satan, can I sue you? I have more accusations against you. Do not get me wrong, I love you, you're one of my favorite actors, "A Clockwork Orange" is one of the best movies ever made, BUT, what's this bad joke? Could not find a better script? Apart from you, everything is pathetic, stupid, deadly boring, childish. Everything is stupid, starting with the story and ending with the play of all actors. Embarrassing! And, is not Satan who invented the noise and all he's accused of in the movie. Mister McDowell, you have to make at least two very good movies, close to the level of "A Clockwork Orange", to forgive you this sin called "Suing the Devil"(2011). There are a lot of reviews that say only superlative stuff about this movie, which shows how stupid or how fake the writers are. Fake and cowards, because they do not have the courage to tell the truth, that the movie is very bad, probably for the fear of God, Jesus, the Bible, faith, etc. Because the movie talks about all that. I am convinced that God and Jesus are ashamed of such a film, it does not do any service, on the contrary. You are not good Christians liking this film, you are just simply stupid! One star for Malcolm, that's all!

I had the pleasure of having an actress as a friend while I was living in Australia. She mentioned that she was going to be an extra in a movie, and although we made plans to watch it together, I had to leave the country.Thank God I never had to see it with her...Years later she sent me a link to this film on IMDb, and said "oh you should check this movie out. This was the one that I told you about... I played one of the jurors." And since it had been a while I thought; oh why not? It's got Malcolm McDowell, how bad can it be, despite the low rating?Dear sweet lord it was worse than I thought. The acting is terrible to put it gently, even McDowell couldn't pull out a single believable moment to hold the viewer's attention. There is an ensemble cast of first timers, poor talent, and just terrible delivery throughout. The plot is even worse. In a misguided attempt to create a modern Christian comedy, they try and dupe you with what you think will be a funny little courtroom comedy. It's not. It's actually a really bad drama, like a film student's first attempt. I don't think anyone chose what theme they were going for when they made this movie. There is so much Christian rhetoric in this trash that I was literally yelling, "oh just shut it!" at the television. If you don't believe me, just listen to the song in the credits.Better yet, don't watch this movie at all and save yourself a lifetime of regret.1/10 (this is certainly the lowest rating I have ever given on IMDb. If there was something lower than 1, this movie would get it)

I had no idea of what to expect when I started watching Suing the Devil, only an interesting front cover and some names I recognised. For the first half hour of the movie I was wondering whether this was an anti-religious roast of a Christian film, the premise was weak, the dialogue cringe worthy, and the acting so wooden I had to check myself for splinters. Then suddenly, like a revelation from heaven, I realised they were serious. The remainder of the movie I watched only so I could write this review. Bart Bronson's acting as Luke was especially appalling, as were 80% of the remainder of the cast. I wished Satan had won the case and dragged the lot of the to hell for eternity. As a Christian movie you get everything you expect : straw-man arguments, bible spouting, arrogantly closed minded world views, and presupposition out the whazoo. All this can be summed up in a quote from a pastor on the witness stand who says "Prove in 30 seconds that God exists? I can do that in one sentence, something cannot come out of nothing, its impossible". I think Lawrence Krauss may have a few things to tell you, pastor. The 2 stars for this movie go only to Malcolm McDowell for his hilariously enjoyable performance as Satan, he should get an award for "Acting too damn well in a god awful movie".Oh, and in the end Luke was dreaming it all. Timothy A. Chey must have read page one of "Script Writing for Dummies" and not gone any further. In conclusion, avoid at all costs unless you enjoy having your intelligence assaulted and/or are already heavily indoctrinated in the Christian world view.

Before I begin, I want to separate Malcolm Mcdowell's performance from the rest of the "movie", and treat them separately. This "movie" ran more like a two bit amateur western suburbs protestant (pick your denomination) church attempt at film than a movie to be taken seriously. The actors didn't know if they were Australian or American, opting for accents that weren't quite either. Their performances were stilted, rigid, and unnatural. The dialog was tedious, nonsensical, and boorish. I mean, really, who goes around all day talking like the characters in this movie...other than the most intolerable bible thumpers? And the court room scenes...don't get me started on those. I mean, even law and order comes somewhat close to accuracy. Even judge Judy has an actual judge! But this....this made both shows look like videographic authorities on procedure.Whoever made this took an idea that could have made an excellent movie...suing the devil! It could have been light with dark undertones, and could have had subtle philosophical depth. It seems like whoever made it was so focused on pushing this ideological axe they had to grind...so driven to send out their message, that they neglected the simplest of things about making a good movie. They thought the message itself was enough, however delivered. Instead it came across amateur, unbelievable and tacky. On the other hand, Malcolm Mcdowell was brilliant as always. The perfect villain plays the ultimate one (well...if you believe christians, that is). His performance was flawless, and was the only reason I didn't give the movie a 1. But the whole movie I couldn't help but wonder why he would be part of such an awful production.
