Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

Go ahead goat-head! Make fun of your Creator. That's smart.

Very very very VERY gory Spanish short with English subtitles. Jesus helps Lazarus rise from the dead. Very good but Lazarus is now a flesh-eating zombie! Jesus screams like a girl and, with Judas following, runs to escape. However they're surrounded by Roman soldier zombies and cowboy (???) zombies. What follows is an incredibly gory (and incredibly funny) fight between Jesus and Judas and zombies! The Catholic Church will probably go crazy if it ever gets a look at this! It tears into Jesus and the Bible with glee with tons of gore and blood. The special effects are excellent and look very realistic. This is basically a must see for gore fans who aren't loyal Catholics. A 10 all the way.

Jesus is giving a sermon when he is approached with the news that Lazarus has died. Packing up his things and taking his trusty friend Judas with him, Jesus returns to the town and displays his newest miracle – bringing the dead back to life. The assembled crowd is filled with awe when they see Lazarus move and then sit up, however this turns to screams as Lazarus starts chewing on the living – sparking a zombie plague that only Jesus can stop (once he gets his courage and stops running away). This is a great little comedy horror which takes the original living dead and applies the conventions of modern zombie cinema back to it. The plot is little more than an excuse for scenes of zombie carnage as they attack and then even more vivid gore as Jesus and Judas fight back. Although the effects are the majority of the film's running time, there are plenty of laughs that are not gore related and there were several moments and references that made me laugh. Outside of this though it is all about the gore so if you like that sort of thing then you will love this because it is endlessly gory in the depiction of crushed heads, ripped guts, severed limbs and one fish being used to kill (rather than feed) 5000 zombies. Personally this is not normally to my taste so I did find myself looking away during some of the more intense sequences, but this is more about me than the film. The make-up and effects work are very impressive – not just "for a short film" but just generally, and the whole thing has a nice Evil Dead sensibility. You need to like gore to really enjoy it, but this is a great little comedy horror with a good sense of humor and a very impressive job done on the gory effects and make-up.

I have a feeling when I watch these short, low budget movies that the money doesn't buy you a good movie. Brilliant idea? Enthusiastic amateur actors? You have a good movie. From time to time you see great movies, they are hilarious. I really enjoy an amateur movie if I can forget about it's amateur characteristic. That means they really loved the idea around the movie and they tried their best to entertainWatch it if: you like horrors. A must see!!!you like amateur movies with fresh ideas. Don't watch if: you go to church every weekend. Seriously this is a movie what you will have to confess next time.
