It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

THE DEVIL'S CARNIVAL is nothing more than a filmed stage musical with a boisterous, camp atmosphere a la THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. It was directed by a guy who did some SAW sequels and has a few familiar Hollywood faces in minor roles. The whole thing is short and snappy, obviously set in a single location, with a lot of effort having gone into vibrant costumes and powerful makeup. The titular location is a place where sinners repent by living their sins over and again. The songs are pretty decent but to my mind there just aren't enough of them.

This is the One. The one that started it ALL. Its more that just a movie. Its an Experience. You enter the Carnival, and what you get is side shows, Cos-player Contests, a meet & greet with the Awesome Creators. And then it Begins...We are introduced to something new. Something fresh, bursting from the minds of Darren & Terrance. You will taken right from the first note you hear. The songs, the characters, and the over the top sets will fill your dark little soul, and keep you coming back for more.I congratulate the cast and crew for this wonderful project. I love this movie. I made every stop, every time it came into my town. Because of this film, I have made so many connections, with so many fans all over the World. It has really made an Impact on me.I will Forever me a Fan. That's How a Carnival Grows MY Son 3:)

I not fan of Musical horror, i just about like The Nightmare before Xmas, it was one of the only musical movies that I liked. i Liked the open scenes of this movie, 3 different people, who are being asked to open the door. Then soon end up in very strange place and get even stranger, when this weird stranger people start to dance and sing in the movie. There might be some catching tunes in this movie, that may stay in back head for few days after seeing this movie and I didn't like some songs at all, found very dull, there some decent singer in this movie, so it not too forced I did seem to drift away from time to time while watching this movie as never kept hooked as the little plot this movie had moved very slowly. The acting was really good this movie, which I Did not expect, it was fun watch that for sure and it dose go on for too long to repeat same thing for short run time I give 5 out of 10

Lost souls enter The Devil's Carnival where they are each faced with the sins they committed in life. From the creator minds that brought us the horror-musical "Repo: The Genetic Opera"... comes another -- maybe even better -- horror-musical that revives the overdone carnival / circus theme in horror. And, hey, we get Alexa Vega from "Repo" and we can even add genre favorite Bill Moseley to the mix. Plenty of goodness and potential here, with Aesop's fables modified by a sinister mind and music added. Who says the musical is dead? It is not -- it has just gone to hell (in the very best of ways)!
