Clark is a former professor and a world-renowned expert in the field of human behavior. He has a checkered history due to bipolar disorder, which sometimes results in quirky, manic episodes. His older brother Ross is a slick con man who spent time in prison. Each in their own way knows what makes people tick. Drawing from the most cutting edge research in psychology, they can a tailor a plan to influence any situation. It’s a little bit science, a little bit con artistry plus a smattering of Jedi mind tricks. The brothers, along with their team of master manipulators are offering clients an alternative to fate.

The team is hired by an executive at a consulting firm who’s been overlooked for a promotion she’s next in line for in place of a younger male candidate with less experience. Meanwhile, Ross is worried that Beth can’t keep their secret from the past and hires a con-woman pal to find out Beth’s real intentions with Clark. Later, Ross tries to call a truce with Claire but she still doesn’t trust his motives.
A man who wants to end his extramarital affair and return to his wife hires the team; Beth's parents grow tired of Clark; Ross tries to own up to his mistakes.
The team's new client is worried about her husband, a professional fighter who hasn't won in years. Sam senses that Ross is suspicious of her activities and devises a way to distract him.
