What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Wrote this after watching Badrinath Ki Dulhania. What a total letdown!!!!! After watching this I felt that even I could act better than this....no storyline.....no proper script.....no emotions......TOTAL RUBBISH....Look at the way the songs are picturized!!!!!!.....felt like jumping into Pacific Ocean.....Only the song Samjhawan is worth watching in the movie. Rest all are TRASHHHHHHH.............. !!!!!!!

I don't know why critics are all over this movie and calling it a horrible failed attempt at copying DDLJ. For me, Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya was a fun packed adventure. Having lived in Delhi and Chandigarh, i totally got the inside jokes and mannerisms. I am a big fan of Alia and I think she is the cutest, but Varun Dhawan was even more entertaining and awesome. And his friends were the best. Only people who have such friends can relate to the cheer they bring to one's life.The best part of the movie is that it has the right mix of humor, show off, witty dialog and still manages to stray close to reality. If you think most of the things shown are out of the ordinary and would never happen in real life, please get out more. There are a lot of trust worthy people in this world once you get to know them better.I guess the critics need to open their minds and learn to take it easy. Movies are made to cater to the public need's and demands for entertainment, thats how Bollywood makes money. If you only want artistic skills and originality while sucking out humor and fun, please go watch a documentary on rich vs poor. Do not watch this movie if you are a depressing downer and want to stay that way, you have been warned !

Such a sweet full on masala entertainer film, although it ended a bit abruptly but its okk given the soulful performance of Alia n Vishal. Was the first film i watched after almost 6 months being very busy n the movie did not disappoint me at all. Thumbs Up Dharma Productions once again! The comedy is very natural n well timed n natural, Alia looks ravishing! Main Tenu Samjhawan will mesmerize you! Technically the film is very sound n also sweet part in the film was very subtle portrayal of India's emerging Metro young generation which is very fun loving, is bubbly, liberal, westernized in dressing but still Indian values do rule the heart of almost all of them. The Indian roots strong enough to not go away despite generations of change. How? For that one has to watch the film for e.g the Female protagonist (Alia) decides to return the Marriage Jewellery set from the lady they had got in form of ransom because immense emotional attachment a married Indian women has with her Marriage jewelery set. That is s true reflection of deep embedded Indian values!

HUPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIA is a typical Dharma Productions movie. Fat Indian weddings, mehenga designer lehengas, meaningless interrupting songs and a lot, A LOT, of melodrama.Eight minutes into the film and we have seen a boy selling question papers for kisses from girls and the female lead convincing her Dad to buy a lehenga on a dining table from which her divorced sister gets up and leaves because she chose a wrong man for herself. The guy who goes around flirting and kissing girls becomes emotional at a tragic DDLJ scene and feels guilty on a traditional lecture given by the female lead.The whole group and the father of the boy start making contributions for a completely strange girl.The love that was in the form of a bud until late, without any further development shows an intense bed scene. I mean, how can we not have a bed scene, it has been one full hour! The minor amount of logic they were making in the first half goes on decreasing exponentially in the second hour. The climax is unbelievably stupid. There is no spoiler in this film, we have seen it all in Dilwaale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and all such Blockbusters.Varun Dhawan famous for his flawed imitation of loud actors like Govinda was heavily annoying in the few starting scenes. Alia Bhatt who had been a surprise packet in the last two movies was strictly average in this flick. The supporting cast, however, is pretty strong.Music is below average. Direction and cinematography needed much more attention. Editor must be fired quickly.The movie, however illogical and irritating it may be at times, does have it spots of tickles. Despite brutally filled with clichés, the movie has its cheerful moments. The chemistry between the lead pair is warm(if not sizzling). You may give this movie a miss but you wouldn't be wasting your time much if you have nothing else to do. A generous five-and-a-half-out-of- ten for the rare freshness.
