Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

1989 has some of The Grateful Deads best shows. Summer Tour was awesome with the band playing sold out shows in Stadiums all across the country including Giants Stadium and RFK. I went to this show and had a blast! The songs, the whole feel of Summer 89 just makes me smile. I noticed the IMDb page has no set list so I wanted to let everyone know what they played. I don't know if that's a spoiler or not but here goesSet One: Bertha - Greatest Story Ever Told - Cold Rain And Snow - Walkin Blues - Row Jimmy - When I Paint my Masterpiece - Stagger Lee- Looks Like rain - Deal Touch Of Grey - Man Smart, Woman smarterSet Two - Ship of Fools - Playing In The Band - Terrapin Station - Drums - Space - I will Take You Home - All along the Watchtower - Morning Dew - Not Fade Away - Encore U.S. Blues This is Classic Brent era. Seeing him and his long hair flying and Jerry Rocking out U.S. Blues on the Fourth of July(it never rains), Bobby's Masterpiece make me both Happy and a little bit sad. Anyone who likes the band will like this show. if you're new to them check it out they are a great band, and if you saw them it 89 this is a perfect walk down memory lane.

The famous rock band gives another long concert, this time in my home area in a stadium where I've watched many of Buffalo Bills pro football games: Rich Stadium (now Ralph Wilson stadium.) Instead of a 160-minute football game, however, the Dead provided fans with 160 minutes of music. If the DVD footage hadn't said "Rich Stadium," I wouldn't have known where this concert took place. It could have been anywhere since they only show you the stage and some fans here and there. It could have been any big outdoor stadium.Anyway, the DVD is standard "Dead" stuff. Sometimes I wonder why I have a handful of these, to be honest, because the concerts look and sound so much alike The only difference here was a kaleidescope-like special-effects during a long drum solo. It was interesting to view and the drum solo, too, was different than any I've ever heard. To me, most drum solos get boring, but this one definitely wasn't.Other than that, same-old/same-old which, for fans, is just fine.
