This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

First off, let me say Britney is no Madonna, i saw the Blonde Ambition tour and the girlie show in fact, all of Madonna's shows and Britney looks to be taking a few cues from Madonna herself. The masturbation scene on the beds was a direct copy of Like A Virgin, the bathrobes? taken from Material Girl. as for her singing, Ms Britney didn't. it appeared she sang one song but that was just wishful thinking, the lip syncing was bad,i understand lip synching but at least try to sing along. the show itself was eye candy, well produced, the sets were very nice and the costumes and dances were top notch, however, when one has a mediocre talent, one needs pomp and circumstance. Yes, Madonna has been known to lip sych ch but 90% of her shows she sings live and guess what? Madonna cant sing either but she still makes the attempt. overall its a good show for the visuals, oh, and that fat drag queen? bad decision. he ruined the show (i assume she was trying for a the clown Madonna used in the girlie show, which also was a bad decision) in my opinion one should see the blonde ambition or the girlie show and then watch Britney and you'll see what I'm talking about. now, comparisons aside, Britney had a strong array of songs at her desposal and the way she (her manager, tour director) brings the songs to life in a nice way. she is trying to give you a great show and manages to get the, as i've said before, the visuals and dances down (nothing inventive here though, standard routines etc). The tour itself was a huge project for her and it didn't sell out a lof of shows, in fact, by the time she was in her second week of touring, a lot of her shows weren't even close to filling to capacity and as a result, slashed some performances and tighted the show up, when this proved fruitless, she injured her knee and canceled the tour (odd how she was up and running less than 3 weeks later, some knee injury) If Britney is smart, (which she hasn't proved to be yet) she will retire for a bit and hopefully the audiences hearts will grow fonder.

First, the good: I REALLY liked the idea of the "Onyx Hotel" theme. The costumes were awesome, the sets were amazing. I love the dancing for "The Hookup" - very tribal and different from most of her concerts. Now, the bad, the very bad, the horrid and the atrocious: Of course, she lip-syncs. We all know this, so don't say "Oh, no she doesn't - it's a backing track." Neh eh. This was VERY obvious, especially to someone who's listened to her songs more than once and can recognize the exact sound of her voice from them. At some points, she "sang" over a back vocal instead of the "main" vocal, and then she'd have a look like "Oops! not supposed to do that!" and start "Singing" to the main vocal again. The two songs she DOES sing, Every time and Shadow, really shouldn't have been. Another reviewer said she sang 5 songs, but you can tell that she remade the backing tracks for a handful of her songs so they sounded more "Real". At several points, Britney struggles to keep up with it, often forgetting to "sing". Back to the two songs that she actually sang. Her singing is atrocious - now, before you say I'm being a Brit-Basher, I'd like to point out that the few times she actually sings in her career, I quite enjoy. Just watch and you'll see what I'm talking about.Usually, dancing is Britney's strong suit. Not the case here. Her dancing is weak, as though she's about to collapse from exhaustion, even when it's clear that she's not singing, and she sure as heck isn't dancing enough to wear herself out THAT early in the concert. The "host" - annoying as all-hell. Rude and completely obscene to the "plant" in the audience. There's no way a real audience member would allow herself to be humiliated like that and not file suit.As with most Britney concerts, she's very confused about who to appeal to. The concert, as I said, is awkwardly sexual at times, but then at others has a very "pre-teen" vibe, such as "talking" with the dancers about who's hot and "joking around".Nothing wrong with it, but this concert is very "Sex". Not sexy, at least not to me. Very much about "the sex". I usually find overdoses of sex nauseating, as was the case here. During "Breathe On Me", she gets into very awkward positions with a male dancer and makes out with him on-stage. Such is the case with "Touch of My Hand". Obviously, she is not naked, simply wearing a nude-colored suit with rhinestones on it. Not sexy at all, though I'm sure the average 13-17 yr old will get into it, if you know what I mean. Although, not to burst your bubble, but during "TOMH" the camera doesn't get close enough to Britney to imagine something's there. Sorry guys. OH! But her male dancers totally fondle themselves and "go crazy" humping beds, so have at it. =P Overall, should be a shoe-in with the hardcore Brit addicts. For the rest of us who love her music, but hate her latest antics and attitude, it's only worth watching once.I only gave it a 3/10 - and that 3 was only because the sets and costumes were so good.

I am in total disbelief.... I know that Britney Spears has millions of fans all over the world, but my question is...WHY???? I never saw her perform and before I watched this movie/concert had no opinion of her whatsoever. I am in shock, Britney Spears has got to be the worst performer/singer/entertainer (and this is giving her credit) that I have ever seen. The singing is terrible and the worst part is that she is lip syncing, that means that even the audio producers and technicians could not fix that terrible voice for the film. The dancing was weak. I am surprised that someone looked at this concert and it actually inspired them to make a movie out of it. I can't believe that this is what sells when there are so many people with talent out there.
