It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
This film's the fifth instalment of the incredibly long-running Filipino horror anthology series. As usual there are three stories collected here, of wildly varying quality. First up is MALINGO, about a couple on an island being menaced by forces unknown. It mainly consists of characters hanging around in a building while the viewer gets bored. The second tale, ANINO, is about an apartment block which is haunted by a murderer's spirit. It's just as dull as the first, without any kind of atmosphere or suspense whatsoever. The last story, IMPAKTO, has two siblings kidnapped and taken to the lair of a monstrous beast. This one's actually decent, a traditional monster story about an ugly vampire guy in a suit jacket wandering around and roaring a lot
