American Nomads (2011)
BBC Documentary focusing on drifters, drop-outs, tramps and RV snowbirds, squatters, hermits, cowboys and Indians in the American Southwest. Very interesting stories on how and why many became nomadic, and what the lifestyle means; all done without judgment or glorification.

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Very nicely done and easy viewing with decent un overpowering fitting music. Captures subtly the essence & spirit of this part of America with it' big wide open spaces, roads & desserts of the West also where people are drawn to pass through and experience. Richard Grant does a good job quietly and respectfully hosting this with good writing. A nice insight to some of the lives & stories from the Rodeos, the Preacher, the 'White Owls'/retired folk in their RVs, the freight train Vietnam Veterans and especially young Comfrey's and his unknowing destiny. Good viewing overall.
