This was the ultimate Garth Brooks fan's dream-a free live performance in Central Park. Garth gave a good showing in it, and I loved his performances of all his classic songs, such as "Unanswered Prayers, "The Dance," and "Friends in Low Places." While there weren't any of the high-kinetic, ultra-energetic stage movements usually reserved for the arena shows Garth gives, it was still worth the video purchase. Garth's performance was terrific, and the audience members obviously loved it as they sang along with all of his songs. You will find yourself doing the same.

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.

After establishing his dominance over the country music sphere, Garth Brooks decided to take a bit of a risk by bringing his show to New York City (Central Park, to be exact). Boy, did that "gamble" pay off big!In terms of overall electricity, this show was probably Garth's best. The audience is incredible, Garth's energy isn't lacking, and guest stars Billy Joel and Don McLean only add to the excitement.About the only down side to the tape is that, for the first time, Garth's vocals leave a little bit to be desired. Maybe this show was more truly "live" than his other television concerts, or maybe his pudginess was finally catching up to him a bit, but either way there was a bit of huffing-and- puffing heard through the microphone as he commenced with his crazy antics. However, there are still enough strong vocal moments to keep the show from turning sour.Overall, this experience is Garth Brooks at his popularity peak, and it shows. Every song is worthwhile, and there isn't a dull moment (the pacing on this set is probably the best of his career). Enjoy!

I am an avid Garth Brooks fan, and have been for many, many years. After watching this concert, I am ever more convinced that he is the best entertainer the music industry has seen in a long time. The energy and charisma that this concert employs is no surprise to fans of Garth, as that is his characteristic style. Billy Joel as a guest was awesome, but one thing about his appearance spoiled the rest of it for me. Throughout his life, Garth has often commented and commended Billy and others as being his inspiration and in some cases, his idols. Why then, couldn't Billy Joel remember the lines to "Ain't Going' Down"? If I were in his shoes, being on stage with a star like Garth, and knowing that I was one of his inspirations, knowing that he knew all of MY music, I would take extra time to learn his songs too. In some ways, I found Garth's effort to be even more commendable, for the behavior he showed, and the energy he still exuded. Kudos to Garth, and congratulations on another superb show!!

This is by far Garth's best ever live concert. This energy outnumbers any other concert, by him and any other performer. It has the best collection right up to Fresh Horses. The way the crowd worked with him was just pure magic. And his band, they were excellent. From the opening to the end, it is packed full of fun and excitement, as good as the best action film i have ever seen. The set up was excellent and the performance was one of a kind, as Garth always is. And the duets with Don Mclean and Billy Joel just topped the night off. You will never seen anything like this again.
