Truly Dreadful Film

Overrated

Good start, but then it gets ruined

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Which one was this? I can't really remember. I do, however, know it was the movie where they hire a lot of women and require them all to take their clothes off.I recall a shower scene in there somewhere.And then I remember the women running around screaming in undies that are really only worn in the bedroom.Was there a plot? Not really, it was just an excuse for nudity and undies.But, you already knew all of that when you sat down to watch this. Because, honestly in film making, they aren't really trying to pass it off as anything other than an excuse to film young naked breasts and you don't really get anything but that.This one has the geek factor...in the form of fratboys, I guess they wanted to give it a twist ala Revenge of the Nerds.So, why are you reading this? You know exactly what this movie is about. You knew that before you even clicked on this review.But, at least the review is as honest as the movie.If you are expecting more than that, there is something seriously wrong with you.

Three sorority sisters from Tri Eta Pi, buckteeth, frazzle headed Melody(Linnea Quigley), geeky Marci(Brinke Stevens)who often frequents flea markets for trinkets, and plump Mickey(Michelle Bauer)always in big clothes and snacking on whatever junk food is in sight, invite three dorks to a shindig of their own making. The three nerds are constantly abused by three jocks in their fraternity. The jocks threaten, through some made-up rule in a pledge book, to expel the nerds from the fraternity if they go to this party. But, the dorks sneak away anyway, and the jocks find out, hot in pursuit. Awakening a demonic spirit in a crystal ball Marci found at a flea market during a séance with the nerds, the three sisters are turned from geeky broads to delectable babes. There's a catch..these babes are possessed by evil making them succubus yearning to bite young eager horny males in the crotch, turning them into ash, and removing their souls. Will the nerds be able to save their gals from the evil driving them? Perhaps with the help of an expert in exorcism, found right in the phone book no less, they can..Look, when I rented NIGHTMARE SISTERS I knew exactly what I was in for..and I got what I expected. I rented it for titillation and tongue-in-cheek humor and got exactly that. I didn't really find the opening, where a fortune telling con-artist is looking into his crystal ball as a naive, rather dunderheaded(..quite wealthy) widow falls for his theatrical antics regarding the summoning of her husband, that funny, but I chuckled quite a bit just at the three female leads in nerdy disguise. It was quite obvious that they were having a good time playing against type. The film is indeed a light-hearted romp, a sex comedy which delivers the nudity expected as Quigley, Stevens & Bauer give their male(..and perhaps, female?)audience what they pined for. The special highlight is their bath tub scene where all three partake in soaping and washing each other with glowing smiles. Once the gals become succubus, they practically remain top-less trying to seduce any male in close proximity. The film certainly shows it's low budget in the photography, sound, & choice few locations. A great deal of the picture takes place at the house of our sorority sisters. A demon monster, behind the possession of our unfortunate sorority sisters, shows up at the end, as Perrin(Jim Culver)the exorcist who wants time and a half working such late hours, goes to battle in a spiritual warfare for the ages.

Although it is amusing to see Linnea Quigley, Michelle Bauer, and Brinke Stevens as "ugly" coeds, this movie relies too much on nudity and really bad jokes. Don't get me wrong, these three girls look good naked and have a good sense of humor; There just isn't enough for them to do. Richard Gabai should go away and never return. Michael Sonye or Dukey Flyswatter if you prefer, which I do, is extremely annoying as Omar, the psychic. His voice is pain, so if you like that sort of thing, watch the beginning sequence. He also is the lead singer of a band which does a couple of songs of which I did like the beginning of one of them. "Sucky sucky sucky sucky succ u bus! (dun dun) Sucky sucky sucky sucky succ u bus! (dun dun) Sucky sucky sucky sucky succ u bus! (dun dun dun dun) Suck me! (dun dun dun dun) Suck you!" If you must see this, you will enjoy the three girls cleaning each other in the bathtub. Although Michelle's tan scares me, I get over it.

This one has it all: college sororities, nerds, demonic possession, babes seducing in first-person camera perspective, cherry pies and lunk-headed jocks getting eaten by evil succubuses. All in all, the perfect family film."Nightmare Sisters" details what happens when three homely sorority sisters summon a demon that possesses them all and makes them seduce and/or devour every male within groping distance...oh yeah, and take baths together and get naked. A lot. Did I mention this was a comedy? No? Musta slipped my mind....Doesn't hurt a thing that the girls in question are three of the grand dames of "B"-grade cinema - Brinke Stevens, Michelle Bauer and the ubiquitous Linnea Quigley - all of them pretty in face as well as body and mind, and more than willing to doff their duds, all in the name of good-old American entertainment, natch.Is there much more to the movie, you may ask, than three great (excuse me...GREAT!!!)-looking babes getting naked and seductive and growling lines like "let's get primitive" to the men?Nope.Solid rent, find it at once.Ten stars, no kidding. "Nightmare Sisters" will make you glad you have hormones and quite possibly give you the inclination to go back to college.With a Ouija board.
