i know i wasted 90 mins of my life.
Fantastic!
It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
This film appears to be a modern interpretation of the Danish classic "De Pokkers Unger" (1947) by Bjarne and Astrid Henning-Jensen. That was the first actual family movie with excellent scenographic work for its time.I recently saw a very short excerpt and there was a scene where one of the children finds a lighter belonging to one of the crooks. This scene and the movie's overall premise is very reminiscent of the more recent film.If it is indeed a case of a remake, it's perhaps a bit odd that the movie's creators do not recognise their "source of inspiration".
