Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.
Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
The Hunger Artist is an incredible work of art, plain and simple. There are triumphs of stop motion animation and character acting here that had my jaw on the floor. The passion for the craft exudes every second of this work and clearly Mr. Gibbons is a master. This is the type of inspired creativity that the medium may only see once a decade or more.Bravo.
