Excellent, a Must See
I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
A cute, solid animated short that can be found on the Daddy Day Care DVD. There's nothing too spectacular or unique about this cartoon. It's cute, it may generate a chuckle or two, but nothing much else. Plus, those eyes on the tadpoles kind of freaked me out.The animation company behind this cartoon may be a very eager and hard-working bunch, but they have a very long road ahead of them if they want to catch up to Pixar. In fact, Pixar was making cartoons like these back when Early Bloomer's animators were in diapers, or maybe more appropriately, growing legs from their tadpole state. My IMDb Rating: 6/10
The previous review was incorrect regarding it's release and production. For the record, this short animated film was produced by Sony Imageworks and played in front of Eddie Murphy's successful film "Daddy Day Care". It never played in front of "Finding Nemo" and was not produced by Pixar.
