My Little Pony: The Princess Promenade (2006)

One of my all time favorites.

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

I am a cinema fanatic and make a point of watching at least one movie a week at the cinema. I got to four or five different foreign language festivals a year. I look for cinema that challenges, that is different, than changes the paradigm I use to look at the world.But now I will see no more movies. After seeing this, I know no movie can be greater. All I can say is..see it, you will not be disappointed. If I went blind now, it wouldn't matter.The design, characterisations, depth, the themes, the parallels with history and the French revolution. The Homeric like adventures of the characters. Stunning.If ever cinema could provoke thought into what is truly "the human condition"...it is this work, so subtly and mysteriously called "My Little Pony: The Princess Promenade"

This disgrace of a film treats children like they are all brain dead. this is perhaps the worst example of a little girls cartoon, not only does it suck I am ashamed this is aloud to be called a film. The characters all have practically the same shallow cardboard cutout personalities. I can not put down in words how much I hate this film, and all it represents. This movie makes the hole animation industry feel stupid just by the fact someone would wast there time and money on this.you may argue "you shouldn't be so hard on it, it's just for little girls." I insist THAT IS NO EXCUSE FOR BEING HORRIBLE! Original series is okay maybe a C- for the original for what that's worth. but if you want a really good cartoon I highly recommend the cartoon my little pony friendship is magic. friendship is magic is perfect example of what a cartoon should be A+ for friendship is magic. BUT STAY AWAY FROM THE PRINCESS PROMENADE F-!

This is maybe one of the best cartoons ever. The characters are great and the plot is even better. Even if this movie was made for kids I enjoyed watching it and i'm 25. Bunch of funny situations and humorous lines for all generations to enjoy guarantee 50 minutes od pure fun. I bought few copies of this DVD online and now I'm giving them as presents on b-days and Christmases, and everyone of my friends enjoyed it. Don't think that this movie is like Pixar movies, it's so much different and way better. I just sat there, on my couch, after the movie finished, thinking about it. As much the character Tra-La-La was funny with her clever one- liners, she made me think about the world. And, BTW, i still have that catchy theme song on my cell phone as a ring tone.

IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED EVERY REVIEW SO FAR IS 100% FAKE. All of those 10 Star reviews were written by employees or people associated with the production of the film(To the person who wrote about it saving the life of your 'rape baby'...For shame, how do you sleep at night?) The 1 and 2 star reviews are written by IMDb users trying to balance the voter fraud with a little manipulation of their own. ACTUAL REVIEW BELOW: I'm probably the only person who wrote a review here that has actually seen this movie. And I have only seen it because the children watched it once. Let me emphasize ONCE. These kids will re-watch dvds until the practically melt if they are even partially watchable. This one was never watched again and for good reason. I'm sure the kids are not old enough to explain what they didn't like about it but from what I saw I can give you a few clues. The dialog was recycled and boring, even for a low budget kids cartoon movie, and that says a lot. To me it seemed like the kind of movie that would be made if we invented a computer that wrote kids movie scripts. It was just a bunch of cheesy half-ideas and partial plots strung together in a manner that made no sense whatsoever. You can always tell how bad a movie is by how many fake reviews are posted by the desperate production staff.
