I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

First of all, let me just say that this film is just awful. Granted, I wasn't expecting an Oscar winner, but this film was just awful. Before I get into that, let's discuss the plot shall we? Larry (Larry th Cable Guy) is a health inspector, who's boss (Tom Wilson) hates him and assigns him a partner (Iris Bahr) to work with him. Larry and Butlin (Larry's partner) investigate the poisoning of four-star restaurants. The plot is stupid. The acting is awful (it's pretty sad when Larry the Cable Guy can act better than Arian Ash, the woman who plays the Lingerie Store Manager), the writing is atrocious, the directing is horrible. There is not one funny scene. Now, I was laughing throughout, but not because it was funny, but because it was so awful, I couldn't help but laugh. Now Tommy Boy was a stupid film, but at least it was ACTUALLY funny and you cared about the characters. You don't care about any of the pricks in this, you just want them to all get shot. There is nothing good I can say about this movie really. I used to think that Dragon Wars (2007) was the worst film I've seen, but this may actually beat that awful excuse for a movie. Avoid this at all costs. If I had to choose between being forced to watch this at gunpoint, or being shot in the head, I would choose being shot in the head. Awful. Anyone involved in this piece of s***t should be embarrassed and hide their heads in shame. They should be executed for crimes against humanity. That's all.

I'm not a die hard fan of "redneck humor". I am a fan of Larry the Cable Guy's stand up, but this film wasn't near the best of LTGC. He's a funny and amusing comedian who is probably, next to Foxworthy, the best on The Blue Comedy Comedy team. His humor in this movie is every fart joke he ever wrote in his life times ten. Toilet humor only goes so far. This movie proves that one full movie can focus on farting, pooping, peeing, and anything you giggled at, and maybe still do now, in grade school. Health Inspector deserves an award for that.Health Inspector could be compared to the film Chairman of the Board with Carrot Top. Both were the acting debut of two actors, and it will likely be the last thing they do (or git-r-done) ever again. Witless Protection may be a Larry the Cable Guy film, but it's not an improvement or much better than this. Much like Chairman, this is okay, but nothing memorable or anything that will go very far. Chairman came out in 1998, and that's long forgotten. Health Inspector came out in 2006, and that one is long forgotten too. I can understand twelve years late, but only four years late, and there's no word on it any more? The plot is Larry (Larry the Cable Guy) is a the disgusting (pun intended) local health inspector which raises question, it never says how he got to become a health inspector? How would they let a man like this judge food when I'm sure he hasn't ate anywhere besides McDonalds until he became a health inspector? Just a random observation. Larry works with Amy Butlin (Bahr) who is probably Larry's worst choice for a partner. Unlike him. she's very uptight and serious, but opposites do attract. They wind up trying to find out who is responsible for all the food poisonings at four star restaurants, an it's all down hill from there.Larry works best when he does his stand-up comedy. My favorite of his stand-up routines is probably Morning Constitutions out of all three of his works. I did see both Blue Collar Comedy Tour films and did saw episodes of Blue Collar TV. Larry was the highlight of both, but so much redneck and country humor baffles me and leaves me speechless more often than not.Health Inspector I give credit to being a film with loads of toilet humor that will make fellow southerners laugh, but the market for these types of films are very limited, if they even exist. It's not a bad film by any means, but isn't the kind of film I can recommend for a regular movie goer. I did laugh a few times, but forgot what I laughed at or why about five minutes later. By the last half an hour I contemplated changing the channel. But followed through with my plan to watch it. Do I regret it? Well Super Size Me was on so a little.Starring: Larry the Cable Guy, Iris Bahr, Bruce Bruce, Joanna Cassidy, Brooke Dillman, Tony Hale, David Koechner, Lisa Lampanelli, and Megyn Price. Directed by: Trent Cooper.

How can people actually enjoy watching this clown and find any of his stupid jokes funny? He is like ten steps less intelligent and less funny than Ernest P. Worrell and that is saying a lot! His movies are predictable garbage and his whole act is nonsense, with such an over the top depiction of a southern American man and all of the jokes that stem from cheap racism. A lot of his standup comedy bits and skits are nothing but jokes about his wife or jokes about Mexicans etc that we've all heard a hundred times before. Who watches this crap? This guy is probably a millionaire and that says a lot about our society, Larry the Cable Doofus must be stopped!

I'm a huge fan of Larry's stand up comedy. There, the vulgarity of his humor is balanced by his effortless wit and satire. In Health Inspector, this balance was completely non existent.I could rant for days on how terrible this movie was. Here's the basic problem. The humor was so vulgar and repetitive that it eventually came through as over the top, tasteless and in a word, unfunny. The other actors and actresses were completely useless as well, making a bad movie down right awful. Please don't waste your time with this movie. It will permanently sour your opinion of Larry. Please enjoy him via stand up, especially Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
