A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.

This movie: WOW...Well to begin, I guess I should say that it wasn't actually half bad. It was just very different. In it we have Drake promising a little foster girl to give her and her family their best Christmas ever while he was momentarily distracted.Later, Drake throws a Christmas party that gets crashed by some guys who end up causing some commotion, even knocking a whole snack table over. Josh, after understandably calling the cops, ends up getting arrested by those same cops because they thought that he was the one causing trouble. Due to them not having any more money left because of Drake giving it to a fake lawyer for Josh, Drake tries to break josh out of prison because he can't help Mary Alice without him. After also getting caught and arrested, Drake calls Helen to defend them in their trial. The Judge concludes that, unless Drake and Josh want to go to jail for a very long time (in Josh's case for a crime he didn't commit), they must give Mary Alice and her foster family their best Christmas ever. So, after a whole bunch of chaos that wasn't honestly all THAT funny, Drake and Josh do end up giving the foster family their best Christmas ever. All in all, I thought the movie wasn't bad. But, it was not that great either. It seemed like an outdated, generic plot and didn't have that same Drake & Josh TV show spark that I loved. But there were those special moments like with Crazy Steve and a few chuckle-causing jokes that kind of made up a little bit for its shortcomings. If you were a fan of Drake & Josh, you may want to check this out to see what's going on with all of the old beloved characters. For everybody else, I'd probably steer clear or maybe catch it somewhere on a cable network.Verdict: It's Alright

Okay this movie is very cheesy and dumb. But its a good movie for kids and very entertaining. I'm currently 15 years old and i still like Drake and Josh. I've seen every episode about 20 times each. And i will tell you right now, its not the same Drake and Josh that your used to. Its definitely not as funny but i still like this movie. It came out when i was about 9 so its been around for about 6 years. But they play it on nickelodeon every year around Christmas, so if you have cable check it out. The side characters aren't that great, but hey its Drake and Josh so what do you expect. Overall this is a funny, cheesy, entertaining Christmas Movie that i would recommend.

The latest Drake and Josh movie was not only unoriginal, it just wasn't good period. The movie tried something different, but just failed and the jokes were unfunny. It seemed like we weren't seeing a Drake and Josh movie just a stinker. Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh is about Drake and Josh spending time on Christmas Day, but he promises a girl named Mary Alice to have the best Christmas ever and since Drake and Josh are framed for a crime they have to give Mary Alice the best Christmas ever or they go to jail. I thought this film was just boring. The film didn't take us in anything new or special and when the film would feel tired it would try to insert a repetitive joke or try and create another conflict. If there was any movie that is hard to make it would be a Christmas movie. You don't believe me? For example Four Christmases, Fred Claus, Deck the halls, Unaccompanied Minors, Santa Clause 3: The escape Claus, and should I continue?Overall I thought Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh was a poor, boring effort that could have been better than what it was.

I've always been a fan of the Drake and Josh TV show. Two classic Nickelodeon characters being brought together onto one show with random crazy adventures and mayhem. I could relate to the show being in high school from the year the show started to graduating around when it ended. But even though it ended, Nickelodeon felt the need to bring back all the cast for one last movie in a very twisty tervy Christmas adventure. First off, I enjoyed this movie. I give it a 7 out of 10 because I think it was a decent movie. But nothing more than a decent movie. I have watched the last Drake and Josh movie where they went to Los Angeles and I did not enjoy it that much. This one was better, but now by much. First, I'm going to explain what the movie was about.Merry Christmas Drake and Josh has a very bland story line. A number of events lead to both Drake and Josh getting trouble with the law and having to give another family their "best Christmas ever." During their adventure, we get to see all of the classic Drake and Josh characters and locations. Character wise, Crazy Steve is a supporting actor (from iCarly which he is very good in), Helen is back, Josh's girlfriend makes a couple of cameos in the film (who really turned into a good looking woman), and we also get to see the high school nerds Craig and Eric, and of course, Drake and Josh's parents and Megan. Location wise, we get to see the premier again (even though the original was rumored to be burned down), and the main household. Other than a basic introduction on what and who is in the movie, you will have to see it for yourself to get the full storyline down. There are a number of problems I had with the movie though. First off, as I said before, I'm not a fan of Drake and Josh's movies. The duo made an excellent TV show, but one long adventure just goes on for too long to squeeze into a movie. Secondly, Josh looks too old. I didn't mind the final episodes that were filmed two years ago, but now Josh looks much more mature with thick facial hair growing in and a not so childish looking body.In conclusion, I did enjoy this movie and I think it's worth watching if you haven't seen it, but I don't think I need to see it again. I think this was just a "family reunion" more than a heartfelt performance in a movie. In my opinion, the story line doesn't make any sense in the way Drake and Josh are forced to do community service for another family and that is kind of what the whole movie is about.
