A Brilliant Conflict

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

My, my, my, Uwe Boll, you have come a long way!I remember the times of 'House of the Dead' and 'Alone in the Dark', movies that by all logic, should have been awesome, but instead was awful. Those we actually some of my first meetings with just plain bad movies. That special type of bad. Not many movies I see, falls into this category.'Bailout: The age of greed', or 'Attack on Wall Street' which was the name I saw it under, is not that bad at all! It's pretty much like a normal movie, actually. Some of the dramatic parts are a little iffy, but it might be so, that if I didn't know it was Uwe Boll, I wouldn't really have thought about it. Or maybe I would. Dominic Purcell does a great job. The story is not exactly Pulitzer-prize material, but gets the job done. You feel for this guy. If Uwe Boll keeps getting better, maybe in the future he will make a truly good movie? Time will tell.

I'm all up for action, quite the Arnold Schwarzenegger fan to be honest, but this film seems to actively encourage terrorism as a positive. Perhaps I'm missing the point of this movie, but I was quite disturbed when the hero (who has been hard done by) starts shooting random innocents because he has a grudge against people wearing suits. I get that he feels he's been ripped off, but to start throwing grenades into offices full of accountants and lawyers and calling himself a 'soldier of the people' is disgusting. Most of those people were probably paid reasonable wages for skilled jobs and had families. Essentially, brands anyone better paid than skilled labour as evil, and justifies killing them indiscriminately.Other than that, not clever, not well acted, poorly written, I wish I'd never seen this film. Ironic that by the film's misguided moral code, and that I feel ripped off by watching it, I should feel completely justified in assaulting everyone mentioned in the credits.I would not recommend this film to be seen by anyone, ever.

This movie was not entertainment, or brilliant, it was depressing. America is the crux of free market capitalism on this planet. I use the word crux instead of heart, because the free market system has no heart, its dog eat dog. People knowingly gamble their lives on the toss of a dice known as "the market".The same people even vote for the system, and when they lose they don't like it.I hated this film for that reason. If we deal with fire we have to expect to get burned.Yet we don't, we expect to win and win again.The main character in this movie loses everything, including his wife, she commits suicide because she doesn't want to be a burden to her husband, he then goes on a rampage killing those involved in his bank, with a machine gun....Her husband invested their life savings in stocks and shares and lost. The free market runs America, mature people cant expect to win all the time.

The story real betrays the implicit promise on the title and the posters. The movie is also wrongly billed as action first instead of drama considering the heavier drama content it has. The movie takes too much time to build its main character's cause on executing the things he do on the second act. Having Dominic Purcell on a heavy drama environment for more than hour sure is a bad ingredient to a movie, especially when, like this movie, it postpones the major conflict to the very end but only takes a smaller time in reality. Purcell's ability to depict the thriller side of nerve wars is quite commendable, but the more emotional sides of the drama find his expressions very lacking instead.
