This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Resident Evil Retribution: Movie Review. I enjoyed the film to a certain point. The movie has some major issues but at the same time its a fun time watching zombies getting kicked by Alice. Resident Evil Retribution is a visually spectacular, stunning, stylish film with amazing and awesome 3D effects and character design. The cinematography is fantastic and the fight sequences choreography is excellent. The locations and set pieces are dazzling and innovative. The performance of Milla Jovovich is good and strong. The major issue with the film is that the story is very weak and convoluted and characters are very underdeveloped. The sequences are very fast paced and are confusing and complicated. Some scenes are dull and boring. The movie lacks proper and smooth structure and the characterizations are heavily underutilized due to the weak script and unconvincing screenplay.(Please Note: That This Review represent only my professional point of view and my personal honest opinion about the film, and does not represent others. Thank You).

I can't begin to describe the full awfulness of this sad, boring, predictable, yet incomprehensible movie. WHY does the bad guy exist? WHY does he want the entire world destroyed by zombies? WHAT exactly does the corporation get out of this wholesale destruction of everything? This movie was so silly, so nonsensical that I'm having trouble giving an accurate review. Just nonstop violence, nonsensical dialogue, a plot that is incapable of being followed. I HATE this movie and I LOVED the first one. This is a waste of time for anyone, even a fan of the franchise. The violence does not come close to making up for the lack of plot or sensible dialogue.

Alice (Milla Jovovich) and the Umbrella corporation are back at it in the fifth installment to the Resident Evil franchise. After the helicopter assault the Arcadia ship led by Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), Umbrella captures Alice and puts her through torture and experimentation. Alice discovers that she is in a test facility with multiple big city locations including Tokyo, New York, and Moscow. A war has sparked between Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) and the rogue artificial intelligence known as the Red Queen. Wesker sends an extraction team to the Umbrella facility to help Alice escape but the Red Queen uses Jill Valentine, more clones, and zombie mutants to try and stop them.During the experimentation, Umbrella convinces Alice that she has a daughter, Becky (Aryana Engineer). The extraction team has a familiar face with Luther West (Boris Kodjoe) and also includes Barry Burton (Kevin Durand) and Leon (Johann Urb). The clones are of familiar faces from previous films including Rain (Michelle Rodriguez), One (Colin Salmon), and Carlos (Oded Fehr). The movie also brings back monsters from previous films including the ax-toting giant and the crawling creatures from the first film. Alice also teams up with another super soldier Ada Wong (Bingbing Li) to take on the Red Queen's zombie and clone army.Check out more of this review and others at swilliky.com

Resident Evil: Retribution is more of the same Zobies, Alien dogs that look like Venom and Zombies with Predator's mouth. Mindless fun with some dumb moments like the scene where Barry Burton (Durand) gets shot multiple times then opens his eyes grabs the gun shoots the guy who got sliced in little cubes in the first movie and gets shot again and dies. The story with this one is pretty confusing for example there are 3 freaking characters who died and come back and they work with Umbrella and they try to kill Alice although i don't complain about Jill she was the best part of Apocalypse alongside Alice and Carlos. The problem with this movies is this for example in the 4th one which is still the least best on the series we see Alice, Claire and Chris standing side by side watching the planes coming in this one they're both gone but in the new one which it will come out on 2017 i think Claire returns? but Jill no? Anyways it's more of the same it's kinda confusing although the cgi has been improved those shots that come in front of our faces have still left including the slow motion. I have to give them credit for the Theme song from the Opening Scene Rocks. I'm giving Resident Evil 5 an 8 out of 10 it was pretty nice and i have fun with it although Michelle Rodriguez turning into a freaking Universal Soldier turned me off a bit.
