I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

I have seen this film about a dozen times, and I still don't understand why everyone hates it so much. The Animation is good to look at and it has John Goodman. Probably one of the most underrated Christmas Specials along with The Tangerine Bear, Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas, and more

BEWARE OF FALSE REVIEWS & REVIEWERS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW TO THEIR NAME. NOW WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE MOVIE. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THE FILM . NOW I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 300 HOLIDAY FILMS. I HAVE NO AGENDA.This dull sequel should just melt and go away. What is shocking to me was that Saturday Night Live;s Lorne Michaels produced this and the jokes on this cartoon fall flat as a pancake. The special begins with a musical number showing that Beansboro Elementary School is canceled for the day due to a seven-inch snowfall. While the adults incessantly complain about the problems snow and ice cause, the children enjoy the opportunity to play outside. The scene then shifts to Holly DeCarlo, a lonely young girl and aspiring magician with only one friend, a tone-deaf, somewhat geeky character named Charles who has a knack for climatology. While practicing a magic act with Charles, the wind blows Holly's hat off her head, out the window, and onto a snowman who comes to life as Frosty, thus revealing that Holly's hat was "that old silk hat" featured in the original song and previous adaptations. Now does that sound exciting of course not. This cartoon is slow and boring. I am not sure why Rankin/Bass were not involved in this special. They created the original classic "Frosty the Snowman" cartoon as well as other classic Christmas cartoons. This cartoon sure could of used their brand of Christmas Magic. Lorne Michaels is no Rankin/Bass.The story never comes together. It also seems to end rather quickly. It seems to me that it started off as maybe as one hour program but it was edited down. I love the original so much that this was a major disappointment. It was like getting coal in my stocking.

Back in the early 90s, Frosty returned for another short film and I have to say this one did not really impress me. Then again, this also goes for all the Frosty films except the very first in my opinion. Rankin and Bass did not direct this one, but instead Evert Broan and Bill Melendez were in charge and you could easily see that they have worked on Charlie Brown for a very long time. It looks a lot like a Charlie Brown movie actually and it maybe also was no coincidence that the human male lead character's name was Charles. In any case, this is an interesting watch in terms of voice acting, because it has John Goodman as Frosty and I am a fan of him. And apart from that, Mad Men fans will be curious about the 10-year-old Elizabeth Moss in this one. Their farewell scene at the end was actually pretty nice, but apart from that there aren't really many memorable aspects to remember from this 1992 short film. Not recommended.

Well now here's a great sequel to a holiday classic...not! Well frosty the snowman is back to help a little girl to make friends and enjoy the snow of the holidays. Unfortunately the adults are using a sinister product to destroy all the snow. Will frosty survive? Well you'll have to watch to find out.Well at first you get to see several well known actors playing in this such as John Goodman and Jonathan Winters, but after that you look at this and find out that this film belongs with all the rip off cheap movies in your Kroger $1 Isl. The animation looks like someone did a bad job of copying the peanuts and the voice acting is terrible. The story is very rushed and even before you star the movie it's over. Trust me, if this didn't come with a collection then I would never have watched this film. Do yourself a favor, if you don't have children under 5 then don't watch this film it will rot your brain.
