This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

This is not your blow up everything in sight action movie, this is not your good guy saves the world flick, this is what action is supposed to be about. Stone Cold will give you a glimpse into an organized MC Club (motorcycle: for the uninitiated)and this action flick knows how to play it. Stone Cold has some of the best talent around making this movie happen, Brian Bosworth, William Forsythe, Lance Henriksen (Millenium, Hard Target, Terminator). The movie offers a great combination of action, biker and undercover cop genres. It also presents Bosworth as a decent actor whose on screen persona fit those direct to video movies, never quite being good enough to make it to major releases but solid enough to make a living as an action star in his own right. As bad guys Forsythe and Henriksen both stand out here showing why their careers have lasted as long as they have. Both continue to make movies and have added some fantastic characters to their list of achievements over the years."Stone Cold" is an underrated, hardcore, 90's action flick. It doesn't just have explosions and gun fights to be cute. It has a solid plot that unravels with unbridled action. The bad guys of this flick really make you hate them and want to see them get their just desserts. Another thing I love, is that the one-liners in "Stone Cold" aren't corny. They actually sound really clever and extreme. A lot of the kill scenes in this film are brutal and raw. But it's the final action packed scene that really tops off this movie. "Stone Cold" moves at a fast pace almost too fast, but it's one that will keep you intrigued beginning to end. I hope everyone in this film got paid extra for their spectacular performances. It's baffling to know that this movie did so poorly when it first came out and that Bosworth even got a Razzie award nomination for worst new star. Seriously, he wasn't that bad. Overall, you're not bound to find too many more action films that be on the same mega-macho level as "Stone Cold". It just has everything to satisfy your action movie needs.Overall rating: 7 out of 10.

Ah, "Stone Cold"... what a classic! In the Tradition of "Cobra", he puts the "force" in "enforcement"! John Stone (The Boz) is a cop who goes undercover in a biker gang to weed out the leader, Chains (Henriksen) and his dangerous crew.Okay, the plot isn't much, but how about that Mullet! Only in 1991 can you get away with that hair. Boz has a couple of good lines like "Cleanup on aisle 4", very reminiscent of Cobra's "I don't shop here".Henriksen always puts in an excellent performance. He's at his best as the villain. Forsythe looks young (and a little heavy) here, but he doesn't disappoint. The climax at the courthouse is hilarious! You gotta see it to believe it! One of the funniest cop movies ever, "Stone Cold" will always hold a special place in my heart. For more insanity, please visit: comeuppancereviews.com

I have the exact same problem with this movie as I do with Road House. Both start out as big, loud, dumb action, and it is 100% fun. Then, it takes itself WAY too seriously. The opening scene in Stone Cold was maybe one of the best beginnings I've ever seen. It was completely ridiculous, but that was what I was looking for--80's action so stupid you smile through the whole thing. By the end, I had lost my smile. Rather than continuing to have the hero easily triumph over cartoonish bad guys, the movie starts to get dramatic and even a little tense as the innocent victims begin to pile up. Having Brian Bosworth infiltrate a biker gang should have been as silly as an episode of C.H.I.P.S., but they went for the emotion. Just like Road House went from being fistfights with drunken goofs to being a total bloodbath, Stone Cold went from being light fun to a drama about a terrorist bombing. That just sucked all the fun out of it for me. Sorry, but I just wanted to be entertained.

I mean I gave this movie 10/10 simply because it is so bad that i rate it how good it was by the laughter count. I'm a big Steven Seagal, Chuck Norris etc. fan and now Bosworth is on that list. It was completely random how i found this. It was in d bargain bin at a local store and I got it because it seemed funny and I wasn't disappointed. The fact that everything explodes at the least touch of a car or a bullet is hilarious...on 1 occasion a helicopter exploded before it was hit. This is a great movie you need if you are one of the following: 1)Bored 2)With some friends getting drunk or stoned 3)Just a huge fan of late 80s/early 90s action over the top flicks.Check your brain at the door before you watch! And then some...
