if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

The action in this movie is awesome, my favorite part is when the German head leader was being shot at by lighting, the German pulled a trick from turning to shoot at lighting but Ez saved lightening and shot down the German head leader. This movie gave African Americans a lot of recognition. This movie was created in 2012, it was mainly about African Americans in World War II that completed great accomplishments. Although, there was segregation they did not let that stop them from doing their job. The movie was mainly about the life of the African American men during WWII, all what they accomplished. The goals that they met and didn't meet . During the time of the war they didn't have great equipment such as their plane, it was not as advanced as the other American planes. They painted the tails of their plane red to be different from the others. A interesting scene the movie I really liked was when the "Red Tails" were able to get over to the Germans base and destroy a lot of their weapons and soldiers. This was important to the movie because the African American men were the only one to be able to accomplish this. I would recommend this to children and adult, 8+. This movie is very important to African American history.

Red Tails is a movie about African American men in the Tuskegee training program. Throughout this movie you can tell that the men have a special relationship with each other. This causes the movie to have an intriguing factor. Because the characters have such a strong bond with each other, anything that happens to one of them, affects everyone. Even though the actual events that happen in the movie may not be relatable to everyone, you are still able to feel the energy because the relationship the cast has with each other is indeed relatable. During World War II a crew of African American pilots are faced with segregation, causing them to be mostly kept grounded, eventually they are called to duty by Col. A.J. Bullard. Anthony Hemingway is the director while Nate Parker, Ne-yo, Tristan Mack Wilds, David Oyelowo, Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr. are the stars. This movie was shot in Slovenia, Italy, Hamilton Air force Base, Novato California and many more places. Red Tails was filmed from March 9, 2009 to July 2009 and was released in different months in 2012 all over the world. Common Sense Media has rated this movie a 2/5 , IMDB gave it a 5.9/10 and Rotten Tomatoes gave it a rate of 42%. In Red Tails the main characters are challenged along with everyone else. Nate Parker (Easy) struggles with a drinking problem which comes back to hurt him and his crew while in the air. Tristan Wilds (Junior) loses some of his sight but is allowed to still go in the air and fight, he might've been better off staying on ground but he was determined to fly. David Oyelowo (Lightening) falls in love with a spanish speaking women, but the inability to understand each other does not stop them from becoming engaged. Terrence Howard (Colonel Bullard) does everything that is humanly possible to keep his pilots in order and to make them the best they can be. Watching the Red Tails movie you don't just get the story of the Tuskegee airmen, you get a story of African American men sticking together, fighting together and building a relationship with each other. Over the times of hardship brought upon them, these men learned to love and care for each other, not just for their own good but for the crew as a whole. This movie is about the everything the airmen went through, from being in a new country, racism, hatred, love and even the loss of some member of the crew. But most importantly the movie shines a spotlight on how these men work together and have eachothers backs through everything. I give this movie a thumbs up and would recommend everyone to see it. Red Tails is a excellent film and its informative. You could go into the movie knowing nothing about the Tuskegee Airmen and come out knowing everything you need to. Adults and kids could go enjoy this movie, it tells the sad but also amazing story of such an important group of people but it isn't too serious that you'll walk out feeling down or saddened.

The trailer makes the movie look so much better, while the movie is very underwhelming. The audio is the worst part, the voices don't make sense and don't sound good. Everyone's voice is so bland, monotone and unbearable. The action scenes are decent, but the audio and voices just make you forget about them.

RED TAILS is George Lucas's throwback to old-fashioned war films where the emphasis is on action over complex storytelling and the like. I know this film was panned on release but I found myself enjoying it regardless, at least on a superficial level. It's not on par with something moving like GLORY but it does tick all of the right boxes and even though parts of the story are clichéd, I was still engaged in the tale. The script is nothing to write home about, playing out all of the usual characters from the wild man fighter ace to the gruff but proud officer and the rookie. The cast is undistinguished with only Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard standing out as the guys at the top. However, RED TAILS does offer plentiful action, and it's a lot better than I was expecting. Yes, Lucas is still obsessed with CGI, and absolutely everything in this film is a CGI effect (including a football!) but so much money has been spent in post production that the effects look remarkably good. This is a thrilling, old-fashioned adventure and one I had no qualms about enjoying. It's certainly better than the STAR WARS prequels...
