3-Iron (2005)
A young man, whose only possession is a motorcycle, spends his time riding around the city looking for empty apartments. After finding one, he hangs out for a while, fixing himself something to eat, washing laundry or making small repairs in return. He always tries to leave before the owners get back but in one ostensibly empty mansion he meets the abused wife of a rich man and she escapes with him.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Tae-suk tapes fake fliers inside apartment buildings and along city blocks. Several hours pass and the house or apartment that leaves the flier untouched, he breaks into them. One day by accident, he breaks into a house with a battered wife, Sun-hwa, inside. Basically, a romance ensues between these two quiet soulmates.Melancholy and disturbing, this film transcends into a simple, dream-like romance full of atmosphere and beauty. It's difficult to explain why this film is beautiful; for me, the characters transcend their despair and find an improbable solution to loving each other. Minimalistic and mysterious, the director Kim Ki-Duk creates a film that leaves profound questions up to the viewer.Mostly, this film uses minimal dialogue which feels slightly stilted and gimmicky. Although the lack of dialogue is a gimmick, "3-Iron" is a profoundly rewarding experience.
This is one of the excellent Asian movie i have ever seen. Acting by main cast was outstanding. Some good things about this movie.. You can feel the moving from the beginning. Movie of unbelievable simplicity. The film actually becomes light as feather, and then lighter. No need to worry about language. subtitle not needed. The plot is clever. Fairly straight-forward script.He becomes a shadow, air, air that she holds by the hand. The golf ball spins the karmas into motion again.The movie is not a comedy but it still has some strangely comical moments in it, which mostly comes from the movie its absurdity. This is something that works really pleasant for the movie and makes this a rather nice and easy watch.Especially for the lovers of Asian cinema, this is an absolute must-see!
rarely does a romantic movie leave you with a hollow feeling in the pit of your stomach. this other worldly experience directed by Ki-duk Kim is "shockingly brilliant". the story is original and frugal with no words exchanged between the leads. the intensity of love,longing is conveyed merely by slight movements.the actors are stunning in their parts. the soundtrack is haunting and the ending memorable. Would be comparing movies i watch for some time with this. made my day. 4 out of 5 for this mesmerizer from the director of the epic spring,summer...spring. a very special movie which should be watched with your special one.
I watched this movie last week on World Movies and was really impressed with the simplicity and strength of the story. In Bengaluru we have a proverb "words are Silver/Pearls, Silence is Gold" this movie was just about that. Silence filled out all the words and let the natural expression come out. Some of the instances or situations were funny and would generate a natural smile. Movie had artistic touch to it and it helped in magnifying the story. Well well, actors have performed really well and my hearty congratulations to the Director and Writer of this movie. Will share this movie with my friends and family.
