It is so daring, it is so ambitious, it is so thrilling and weird and pointed and powerful. I never knew where it was going.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

Postal should be shown to film students all around universities in the world as a perfect example of incompetent film making. Apart from the fact the entire movie is in bad taste, the film itself is woeful. Atrocious plot, poor acting, and the entire subject matter is repulsive. It's not like director Uwe Boll set out to make a masterpiece, he set out to make a movie he thought would be appealing to people with limited intelligence as well as not knowing the difference between disgusting toilet humour and clever humour. There's a huge difference and the movie was very unfunny.Movies depicting the Taliban and the September 11 attacks is an absolute disgrace. This movie is one of them. This movie should have been banned or at the very least edited. But given that Uwe Boll is a few cans short of a six pack as well as having a very thick skin, he thought people would find this amusing. It's very clear that a majority of people find this movie distasteful. This movie should have been stamped "Never to be released". If there is a cult following of this movie, words just fail me.Uwe Boll receives a lot of criticism as a director and all critics state that he is the modern day Ed Wood. Previously I felt that it was a bit harsh and someone should give him a chance. For sure, I thought one day he would make a decent movie. That time has passed. Uwe Boll seems to continue to make movies that have been critically panned and upon seeing this atrocious garbage, that was the first and last movie of his that I have watched. I will never watch any of his movies again.1/10

There are people running around yelling about this movie being so offensive; well, guess what? It's meant to be. It's a "fuck you." to Uwe Boll's critics and nay-sayers. He wants to make movies and no one will stop that. Personally, I like some of his other films besides this. But this is my favorite. This isn't about Uwe, though. It's about Postal. It lives up to the games. Violence, blood, gore, vulgar humor and no one is safe from anything. Is Zack the Dude from most of the games? Not at first. He builds up all this repressed anger and begins giving everyone the middle finger. Zack is an amazing actor and I seriously hope his name gets more recognition. Jackie Tohn, too, because she was great. The entire cast did amazingly. I always enjoy watching it and will continue doing so. Is it offensive and disgusting? Yes, but that's part of the charm. Whether it's the cat silencer or the stupid jokes, if you take any of the parodies within seriously, you missed the point of this movie.

"Postal" is an interesting case study. Another movie by the infamous Uwe Boll, this movie is clearly bad on purpose. While his other movies have attempted to take themselves seriously, with "Postal," Boll has decided to embrace his title as the worst living director out there, and has deliberately made a terrible movie with elements to offend everyone and make them hate him on purpose. It even opens with a scene that makes fun of 9/11 and United 93. I'm so not kidding about that. Yes, Boll has officially become the Tony Clifton of film directors. And, I can't believe I'm saying this about an Uwe Boll film, but it's not as bad as I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong. It's still a terrible movie. But there's a certain charm to the self-deprecation Boll engages in (he actually appears as himself in the movie), and he does manage to capture the spirit of the game this movie is based on, which is itself terrible. In a way, it works to a point that I can't give the movie a bottom rating, although still a pretty low one. But it's interesting to see what happens when a filmmaker gives up on making "serious" movies and says "Screw it! People already think our movies are terrible. Let's see how bad of a movie we can actually make."Only recommended for people who want to see how bad a movie can be when it's bad on purpose.

It's like the fifth or sixth time I watch this movie, and every time I discover something new going on the background. And every time I watch it I certainly wonder how this movie can be rated following what seems to be the "Uwe Boll standard".I don't know anything about the rest of his movies; that game-to-film adaptation thing is definitely not my cup of tea. A film adaptation of "Street Fighter"?... come on, how can you be disappointed, what the f--- did you expect? Fortunately, I didn't know Postal was a video game. Its opening scene is a really good presentation card. The movie is brilliant. It's not on the artsy side of movie-making, sure, but it's really fun and clever. In fact, I think it's the only actually clever movie regarding all what came in the aftermath of the 9/11 events. No dramatization, no misplaced patriotism, just a witty look on all that came after: the media circus, the religious fanaticism, the shadows over the Bush administration... come on, he even pokes fun on the, let's say, "German legacy".So no, Uwe Boll may be the worst whatever in the world but this movie is not the usual trash, is not the usual Hollywood trash and definitely is no trash at all.Jihad!!
