Best movie ever!

A different way of telling a story

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

I tend to rate on a bell curve, so compared to other movies with amazing stories, beautiful cinematography, innovating editing, this movies defiantly would be more of a 5/10 but as a mid 00's romantic comedy this movies surpassed mt expectations.Just Friends hits the mark perfect mark of sarcastic over the top comedy that would follow a post clueless teen audience into their early adulthood. Ryan Reynolds' comedic timing fits perfectly with Anna Faris' over the top pop star, filling in quite nicely for a mediocre plot.So while this is not the best movies out there, this is defiantly the right movie for a lazy night of laughs.

OK I thought it was getting good when Ryan Reynold's character was fat and had a story around the fact he liked this girl but can't, as she only thinks of him as just a friend. Then he becomes his sexy self and all of a sudden, I just lost interest and moved onto the next movie. I think him being fat had a better story then him being slim because you heard it all before, a good looking guy gets all the ladies and starts being completely absurd! I would've rathered to have seen Ryan Reynold's character getting slimmer in the end and then getting his true love because, I might gain interest and the fact, it makes the story go smoothly for me as the viewer!I just have to give this 1/10, I thought it was disappointing and just boring. I think this is one of Ryan Reynolds worst movie he has ever done!

not sure why overall its 6.2/10? this is such a funny movie! Ryan Reynolds is hilarious in it. Laughing the entire time, I think it's a fun Christmas movie that anyone can enjoy! I wasn't too sure about the main chick in it, I didn't feel the chemistry between her and Ryan Reynolds but he was seriously hilarious in this film. This is my first review ever and the only reason i chose to do it was because i read the reviews and then watched the movie and found most of the reviews were inaccurate. Watch for a laugh! It's a very good, funny and cute movie! I wish he would do more movies like this, he is perfect for the role! All round great actors, their parts were very believable and a very relatable story, unfortunately but with a humour.must watch!!!!

This basically serves as a vehicle for Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart, and as romantic comedies go, it's not too bad. Anna Ferris was terrific as a crazy pop star. Reynolds gets stranded in his New Jersey hometown during the holidays and runs into his old friends, including his high school crush, who spurned him right before they graduated high school. They start to reconnect.This has several laugh-out-loud scenes, including a bed scene, a great "he shoots, he scores" transition scene, a pickup hockey game, and a scene where they try to kiss on the ice. It's a pretty good "guilty pleasure" film with good chemistry between the stars.** 1/2 out of ****
