High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008)

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

I don't care that it is cheesy as hell, this is still a pretty good movie. I know that is all cheesy and kind of clichéd, but it does something that very few high school movies do: actually talk about what the characters are going to do in the future. Troy's conflict, while innocent and kind of naïve, is a very real conflict. The whole series has good messages about identity and it's lost to people who find it annoying because it's a high school Disney musical. If anything, that makes it better: Disney is doing a high school movie about actual high school conflicts. "Senior Year" is not perfect, there are definitely flaws, but it is still a good film. The songs are pretty good and all of them were considered for a Best Song nomination at the Oscars, the acting is pretty good, but, most importantly, the conflicts are real. Not knowing what you to do after high school, going somewhere to do what you want to do, not letting others determine your life for you. Like I said, High School Musical was always about identity and that's a lesson that needs to be taught in high school. In a society obsessed with labels, we need at least one high school movie other than "The Breakfast Club" to teach viewers about identity. So, go ahead and make fun of it. Regardless, this movie was a phenomenon and it deserves to be that.

Well, I am huge fan of the high school musical series, and fell in love with the lead couple; Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) I love all of the movies, but my top favorite is the 3rd one. The songs are so catchy and upbeat, which makes you want to get up and dance. It is amazing how it made a difference in a lot of people's lives, especially kids. People might think that 'Oh gosh, it is so cheesy' or 'geez, so stupid and corny' or even naive! But those people are wrong. High School Musical brings out the kid in everyone. It has me smiling, cheering, singing and dancing throughout the whole move. It may not seem realistic, but it some parts it does. Senior year is tough, kids are not looking forward to leave their friends behinds, end relationships because of long distance, and HSM3 brought that out. Ms.Darbus got troy to see and experience more opportunities, and show him that Basketball is not the only thing out there for him. Gabriella is given the opportunity to go to college early for an early orientation, but doesn't want to leave her friends, and especially troy behind People needs to give HSM a break, it is a great movie for kids and family. Something for a family get together, sing and enjoy. This movie even makes you want more. This movie still gives me goosebumps, makes me smile so much, and my heart burst with the sweetness and romance and actual chemistry between Troy and Gabriella (since they were actually dating in real life while filming this movie. It wasn't just a pretend kiss, innocent glance. you could actually see the love between them) it givens got me crying because it is over. You will NOT regret seeing this movie, but watch the first two so you can understand better.

This is the most greatest movie (musical) of all... it's like Greece but, more to our century. They are not professional dancers,but, they dance like pro's. Maybe because they practice to make this movie more love-able. so, people who wrote bad comments don't really appreciate their hard work for three whole years! That's why they deserve to be complimented!!! So, people who NEVER watch this show have got to go watch it!! I will recommend it to anyone who is already boring with our genre of songs nowadays. Mostly pop and tech-no. Soo common. Now, try one of classics songs. And, enjoy some laughter with Sharpay and Ryan's songs.

I own this on DVD and I actually enjoyed it. Its 100% better than the other two as the other two were boring and stupid. Plus Zac Efron couldn't even sing in the first one and he was kinda girly in the sequel.In the 3rd one of the francise the teens are getting ready for prom and moving on from high school to go to college. There is also new chacthers in this movie one of them befriends Sharpy Evans.I liked the songs in this one as they are a mixture of pop/rock. I like the song I want it all or the I just wanna be with you song or the Now or Never song which is in the beginning of the movie.The only downside I have to HSM is that Gabriella does my head in as she is so sweet and so annoying she's like a 9 year old who's always moaning and complaining. Zac Efron was alright not a fan of his but he was better in this one.It may not be the best Disney film in the world as there wasn't any good Disney movies out since The Princess & the frog and Enchanted but if you are looking for something that will pass the time and if you are looking for something where everyone is happy and jolly then check it out.I'll give it an 7/10.
