While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

at the first sigh, seductive duel between Susan Sarandon and Richard Gere. in fact, one of the seductive thrillers. not only for the portrait of the lead character but for the remember of old truth. because it is a film about the price of success. about the glory and about the family. about limits. and it has the virtue to give to Richard Gere a beautiful challenge to do a great role. short, the world of business and the temptations who are perfect cages . selfishness. and the mistake who change entire universe of a man. and, sure, the wake up. later.

When this came on the telly the description wasn't a pull and the IMDb description isn't any better... and we all know that what you see in the trailer could be the best the movie has to offer. What pulled me into watching the film was Tim Roth, Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon.I am so glad I chose to watch the movie.The start of the film is slow and too business orientated, I can understand why the director, Nicholas Jarecki, who also wrote the story, chose to show you this side as one of the main issues is the future of the company Robert Miller has built up from nothing. I think it could have been trimmed a little as it could cause the viewer to become unconcerned and turn off. This would be a mistake.The main section of the film is concerned with Robert Miller's actions and reactions to a car accident he and his mistress are involved in and the ensuing police investigation. What lengths will he go to come out of the mess he's created, help his family survive his mistake, and keep a friend out of jail?Jarecki does a brilliant job of keeping a nice pace going, once the action starts and getting good performances from his cast. There are some nicely shot scenes; I really liked the car accident. Story-wise, he is good at keeping the viewer attention and drawing them into the tale, which is strong and full of twists and turns. However, I think we should have seen more of Ellen Miller, Robert's wife, as the issues in the film would have encompassed her more personally than we got to see.The actors do a wonderful job at portraying their characters. If you like crime drama's with action, suspense, twists and turns, a decent story, good direction and excellent acting then this film is for you... just stay with it through the boring start.

There is a rich man. He has a rich life with his family. But he loves a woman though he has his wife. He drives with the woman and he cashed into the shoulder and the woman died. He can't call an ambulance because he must not reveal his illicit love. He escapes from the car and leaves her. When he comes home, her wife doesn't care about his action. After the day, he has usual living as a rich man. But a policeman suspects him. His wife's testimony becomes important but she doesn't do easily that because she notices what he does and she wants make him follow her. At last, he does what his wife wants to do and she testified he is guilty. I think this is a story about a rich man. But I don't like such a rich man. He challenges many things but I can't see his success in this movie. I think this movie should show us more success in his business. I don't think I want to see this movie more. I don't like the last.

This is one of those vain movies a person regret watching. If you want to waste your time with a movie that will leave you with nothing to take in or even think about - then go ahead. Otherwise, skip this movie that gives a glimpse of the lifestyle of the reach people who have both wives and mistresses and do illegal actions. Those characters are not elaborate, the film lacks deeper perspective instead of the cliché that rich people get away with crime, yet they lose the respect and adulation of their love ones which is what matters. It is all so superficial that does not leave the viewer with anything to take from it. The characters are stereotypical, the plot is not elaborate and it does not tell any story of the stock market well described other than some accounting illegal actions, which are also superficially told. All in all, wateful resources to make this movie.
