It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Along Came Polly is a typical romantic comedy type film released in the early 2000's. Starring Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston at around both of their career peaks, this film doesn't offer much of anything special or different than other romantic comedies. Having not high expectations just something to enjoy and something funny, this film didn't deliver at that. Featuring silly gags, and gross out toilet humor, with a predictable plot. This film isn't something in which is to think about, the film is simple a time waster.The chemistry between Stiller and Aniston wasn't much (unless that was the clear point) but there are some decent scenes. Philip Seymour Hoffman plays Ben Stiller's best friend and is quite terrible, unfunny and overall a terrible and selfish friend. As he tries far too hard at being funny and it becomes squeamish and just awkward. Hank Azaria plays a foreign scuba instructor with a bad putting accent, though is only in a few key scenes. Having read some reviews saying how "funny and hilarious" this film was, I just don't see it at all. This film would have been a lot better with a better script of course, and even with Adam Sandler starring instead of Ben Stiller. Overall, Along Came Polly isn't too romantic or comedic. It's quite forgettable if anything.

Mot to mention she uses that Rachel character in several movies, which is probably her real personality.Lame

Released in 2004, "Along Came Polly" is a romcom with emphasis on comedy starring Ben Stiller as a newlywed who breaks up with this wife (Debra Messing) on his honeymoon. Disillusioned, he runs into a woman he knew as a kid (Jennifer Aniston) and they start dating. Problems arise when the non-wife returns. Philip Seymour Hoffman is on hand as Stiller's best friend and wannabe actor while Alec Baldwin plays Stiller's boss.This is a decent comedy/romance with a few hilarious moments. Stiller is a great comedic protagonist because he's the perfect likable every-guy. Aniston and Messing are both ultra-attractive, of course, but neither of them is my type; they're just not curvy enough. However, there are a few notable curvy women in the periphery. For me, the bathroom humor is largely a turn-off because I never found that kind of humor funny, but – thankfully – it's limited to just a few scenes. Polly's near-blind ferret is lovable and amusing.The film runs 90 minutes and was shot in Hawaii, New York City and Los Angeles.GRADE: C+ or B-

This film is very funny. It's a romantic comedy film a bit like 50 first dates. Ben stiller plays the main character "Ruben". When he goes on honeymoon his new wife goes of with the scuba diver. Ruben is left sad and desolate until poll (Anniston) comes along. The film is about them getting through some awkward dates and Ruben trying to impress her with his salsa dancing. I laughed out loud a good few times. Jennifer Anniston is so easy to watch and ben stiller, his facial expressions and some of the scenarios in the film were brilliant. The story isn't to taxing. I don't think a rom com can be exciting - so maybe that's why I didn't give it a higher score. I would recommend it if you just want something that's easy and funny to watch. It's not that memorable but it is enjoyable!
