Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
Sadly Over-hyped
Purely Joyful Movie!
It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
I saw the title and a couple of reviews and I was like "yeah, another zombie crap". I mean, really, the name "ReZort" sounds like a bad joke for stupid people. Well, today I was bored, nothing to watch and... boy I was wrong! Movie is far from stupid, far from cheap and for sure far from boring. Yes, there are cliche characters - to be honest each movie have 'em lately. Also since now is mandatory for each movie to force-feed audience with SJW bs, of course there are "strong independent women", unreliable men, and because of that, you pretty much know in advance who's going to be alive at the end.The script is actually well written. There are no plot-holes... well, except one, but we can let it slide because "Archer", ok? Acting is more than decent, characters emotions are believable, and their actions make sense. There is no "let's split to cover more ground" non-sense, or other cringey bs we keep seeing in movies of the same genre. For me it's a 6/10. Would've been more, but if I'd give this movie a 9, then Alien would be a 17, and that's not possible.
It's like you can see her face even from the start that something bad is going to happen even if it hasn't even happened yet and be her acting is pretty much a number because of her facial expressions
This movie was not nearly as terrible as I thought it would be. The premise was actually pretty refreshing for a zombie film. The idea of refugees being used to make new zombies for the park was horrifying and didn't scream "impossible" considering how many people in the current political climate consider refugees to be less than human. What was questionable was the idea of zombie rights activists. Still, the movie excelled with its budget and decent acting performances.
There are quite a few movies referenced in here or being ripped off you could say. Of course this being a zombie movie, you'll either have love or hate for it from the start. Whether you are in favor then or not will kind of determine how much fun you'll have watching this. It's not a masterpiece (far from it), but even with all the flaws it has, it can be a fun ride. The effects are neat, the characters are dispensable and the "story" forgettable. What remains is a low budget action horror movie on an island. Some characters may be more annoying than others and of course they be doing crazy insane things, but what else is new? So either sit back and take it in ... or don't bother watching at all
