There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

Oh boy here we go again. Even more annoying characters. The only reason Disney released this was to get the children off their lazy arses. I mean... wow... What a way to make money. Another bland special with bland jokes and one dimensional characters. Just as bad as the film. Oh boy Olaf's back to be a useless pile of H2O. Oh boy! Even after watching this I've noticed that the characters are even more annoying and stupid as they were in the original film. Even more cheap songs with lines of song from the original film. Is this literally just a copy paste film? Perhaps so... The plot: It's Anna's birthday. Thats all. Cheap plot, songs, advertising and references! All builds up to a crappy film. One thing I also hate is how they have conversations in bloody song. Probably because they can't act. Another annoying thing is how this entire bloody special is a full-blown six minute song. I kid you not. Little to no acting. Laziness. Here comes even more merchandise! And by the time of frozen 2 even more merchandise will come. It's a loophole of making money for Disney. After watching these two films I've learned that these are programming the kids literally. With awful messages and songs. This is all a trap to send kids into buying their merchandise, and it's all because something as innocent as frozen is trusted. Do not watch this film. I don't recommend it. It's not a classic nor good in any way. This film and this special is overrated, and I can't see why they make millions off of children.

I just watched the newest 'Cinderella' on DVD. And a bit off-topic, it is a very nicely made version of the classic tale. The DVD extras are sparse but one of them is this nice little 7- minute short movie. The title is a reference to it being a birthday but someone is sick with a fever. It has many of the same performers and same characters as in the feature length movie 'Frozen.' In that movie Elsa, the Ice Queen, spent a lot of effort staying away from Anna. Now it is Anna's birthday and Elsa wants to do something special for her, a birthday party. But Elsa isn't feeling well, she has a fever, and in the end Anna has to take care of her. This short is done in a traditional musical style with one long song and most of the characters singing their lines at one point or the other. All in all a nicely entertaining short, especially if you like 'Frozen' the movie.

A short movie which seems a short sequel to Disney's blockbuster hit movie Frozen is added in the beginning of the Cinderella movie. Once again we meet Elsa, Anna and Kristoff in this short movie. It's Anna's birthday and while Elsa wants a perfect celebration for her sister, the misadventures that follow will have you laughing, sighing and thoroughly enjoying! A bit commercial but still I absolutely loved it and it came as a surprise too! Now I am all the more eager to watch the next Frozen movie and hope it releases soon. :)This review is also available on Njkinny's World of Books & Stuff

What's the point of this? It's not long enough to have any kind of real story so you wind up with an unnecessary short that just serves as a reminder that there was this movie a couple of years ago that had these characters people liked. I mean the whole thing is basically one song stretched over a thin plot about a birthday party for Anna. That's it. It doesn't feel like they had this amazing idea for a short in mind but that they just wanted to keep the Frozen brand alive while they worked on a feature-length sequel. Maybe I'm wrong about the motivation but the whole thing just seems pointless beyond the commercial reasons. Look, I'm not saying it's a bad cartoon. It's fine for what it is but it really makes you appreciate the animated theatrical shorts from decades ago when people put effort into crafting a quality cartoon with a limited running time.
