When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

When ive seen the cast and the trailer i though that this movie was going to be a failure but i was wrong. Popular actors like Robert deNiro, Morgan Freeman and Michael Douglas made this movie an intriguing one. The story is simple, comic and sometimes things like this happen in real life. It was like a ride and like you've atended to the party, I feeled good and liked what i watched. It was like watching a teen movie about true love in a comic way but portrayed by old people and made us realise that friendship lasts forever even they got separated across the country. It had turn-overs and very funny scenes, I recommend watching it with friends nonetheless

Last Vegas (2013): Dir: Jon Turteltaub / Cast: Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Kevin Kline, Mary Steenburgen: An elderly version of The Hangover only it totally lacks the laughs and clever writing of that great comedy. Title regards the conclusion of youth and innocence. Michael Douglas stars as the centre piece of four friends that go back to childhood. He is getting married to a woman thirty years his junior and he contacts his friends for a weekend bachelor party in Vegas. Robert De Niro plays an estrange friend who resents Douglas because he failed to attend his wife's funeral. This resentment runs deeper before the conclusion reveals deeper pain. Morgan Freeman is on pills is monitored by his son so he must sneak out undetected. Kevin Kline plays the fourth wheel whose wife gives him an envelop that contains a Viagra pill and a condom. While he does have an uncomfortable encounter with men in drag, it is obvious that he will not cheat on his wife even when the opportunity presents itself. The female roles are unfortunately underwritten and placed as props for romantic clichés. The cast is wonderful but the screenplay is as bland as the lights going out in Vegas. The Hangover is brilliant but here it doesn't quite hit the laugh factor. Director Jon Turteltaub has done better films such as While You Were Sleeping and National Treasure: Book of Secrets. He doesn't totally miss here thanks to a great cast and a theme of age and friendship. Big fans of the actors will be curious but Vegas is always better with the Wolf Pack in the dawn of the boozing. Score: 5 ½ / 10

I laughed throughout this movie! I was darling, funny, sentimental and just a good overall movie! I recommend it highly! It will go on my top list of favorite movies! What a delightful surprise! I thought it was just going to be OK - if we were lucky. But from the get go it was clever and funny. Morgan Freeman - who knew he was so freaking funny. He can deliver a funny line with the best of them. All of the guys played so well together. Frankly I am not sure why the IMDb stars are so low. In my opinion anyone over 40 who knows these great actors would enjoy the heck out of it. I am going to highly recommend it to my friends and family. I rarely LOL at an entire movie. But boy - I just laughed and laughed - but truth be told I even shed a tear or two. It was very heart warming at the same time.

The trailers for 'Last Vegas', a comedy starring several actors over the age of 60 in a plot very similar to 'The Hangover', gave me serious doubts about how good it could actually be. On the one hand, I foresaw this film playing out for a crowd over 50 with cute humor that my mother and grandmother could laugh at, but not much else. On the other hand, this could have simply failed on every level, with poor dialogue, bad characters and no real story – just an excuse to get some veteran actors together to make a quick buck. Well, I couldn't be more wrong. This ensemble featuring Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline and Mary Steenburgen is smart, witty, heartfelt and hilarious. The film starts with a prologue in which four boys about 11-years-old hang out in New York. You can instantly see how close and loyal these friends have become at such an early age. We then jump forward over 50 years. Sam (Kline) is not really enjoying his early retirement in Florida with his wife; Archie (Freeman) lives with his over-protective son and family after suffering a mild stroke; and Paddy (De Niro) is still emotionally unstable due to his wife's recent death and barely leaves his Brooklyn apartment. Then there's Billy (Douglas), a very successful lawyer who has more money than he knows what to do with. The only thing is, Billy has never fallen in love. That is, until now, when he calls his friends to tell them that he's getting married in a few days to a girl who seems to have just graduated high school. His friends decide to throw him a bachelor party in Vegas, but must first convince Paddy to come along, as Paddy and Billy's friendship hit a big speed bump a year or so prior. The script by Dan Fogelman delivers some great jokes about getting older that somehow seem fresh this time around. The movie also has a strong layer of comedy and drama. As our characters spend their weekend in Sin City, they stumble upon a lounge singer named Diana (Steenburgen) in a dive casino. Billy and Paddy become infatuated with her almost immediately. Meanwhile, Sam tries to get laid, by request from his wife, in order to recharge their sex life back home, but ends up talking to drag queens. As soon as Archie enters a casino, he quickly pulls out $15k in cash and begins betting. When he wins big, the four guys acquire the top penthouse in Vegas, access to the hottest nightclubs, and even host one of the best parties in town in their luxurious suite. What works so well is the cast's chemistry. The characters have deep layers and prove that, even after 50+ years, they still have love for one another and will be loyal and protect each other. The movie has some truly heartwarming scenes, as well as a lot of gut-busting laugh-out-loud moments.'Last Vegas' was much better than I expected and packs enough heart and laughs for two movies.
