Excellent, Without a doubt!!

When I first saw this move I said, ah, finally a classic horror film not with monsters and demons, but with people. Orphan is one of those movies that you don't need special effects to create a riveting film to hold the attention of movie goers. Orphan, however, will not appeal to every movie goer, it will only appeal to those who want to be drawn into the story line of and where Esther comes from and what makes here tick. This movie will keep you glued to you seat until the very end, which you will not see coming. If you like classic horror, drama and a psychological thriller, Orphan is for your. This movie will stand the test of time for decades to come.
The film started off very interesting and then turned rather creepy as the girl resorted to evil-doing, but as the film progressed, it seemed to loose its impact. Isabelle Fuhrman was excellent as the girl. I pretty much found this to be a female version of 'The Good Son' - only that was an excellent film. 'Orphan' looses direction towards the end, and I did not like the twist ending (spoiler alert) where it is discovered the girl is actually a 33-year old woman trapped in the form of a little girl due to an illness. This reveal is over-dramatized and this was where I lost interest, and it actually ruined the film for me.
All the actors in the film perform their roles perfectly and the story is intense with great plot twists
OMG! The twist in this movie makes the whole thing even better than I thought it was up to that point. It's a really well crafted, nicely paced horror/thriller that has a frighteningly real aspect to it. It makes me question whether or not I should ever actually have kids LOL.
