On the brink of a midlife crisis, 30-something Mike O'Donnell wishes he could have a "do-over." And that's exactly what he gets when he wakes up one morning to find he's 17 years old again. With his adult mind stuck inside the body of a teenager, Mike actually has the chance to reverse some decisions he wishes he'd never made. But maybe they weren't so bad after all.

This is one of those Zac Efron movies which made me a big fan of his, where he totally nails it good along with a perfect partner that is Thomas Lennon, who indispensably did a pretty fine job too and added his unique touch on the movie.17 Again granted us a quite entertaining experience for a concept that is too sensitive to play with, and might go in a really bad way in case of not being handled properly. But the director knew what he was doing, he gave us an indisputably-good comedic movie which I would recommend to my friends.8/10

17 Again tells the story of a man named Mike O'Donnell played Matthew Perry who ever since he has graduated from High school his life his been collapsing slowly around him he is about to be divorced from his High School sweetheart Scarlet played by Leslie Mann his kids Maggie and Alex don't want anything to do with him but after one mysterious encounter with a janitor Mike is transported back into his teenage body and is given a 2nd chance at turning his life around reliving his high school life all over again whilst helping along his kids along the tricky path to adulthood that he failed himself . This isn't a particularly original movie the plot is strung together with a load of clichés we've seen in many other romantic comedies and body swap flicks the performances are the best thing about it Matthew Perry isn't really given a chance to shine as the older Mike this is the Zac Efron i was concerned about this role thinking it would be a retread of his performances in those dreadful High school musical comedies but i was surprised Efron was Charming , engaging and very sweet he is not just a pretty boy with a nice haircut who showed off his dramatic chops pretty well especially a very moving court scene where he reads a letter that was written by the older Mike trying to not only rekindle the relationship with the great love of his life but to also tell her the older Mike is trapped inside of him . Overall this is a fun and charming flick that benefits from a charismatic performance by its star Zac Efron who saves the movie from being the excruciating mess which it could've ended up being without his presence in it .

I don't really do comedy. Most comedies leave me rolling my eyes rather than laughing, but this somehow made me smile throughout. Zac Efron might not be about to win an Oscar but he definitely knows how to pull off quirky comedy and does it well in this movie as an older man trapped in a teenage body. If you think it bears a passing resemblance to High School Musical you might be right given Efron's floppy bangs and basketball attire, but this movie is about a lot more than raging hormones and who to take to the promo. The banter between Efron and Thomas Lennon is particularly well done with a few wry moments that had me chuckling. This movie isn't meant to be taken seriously and for a comedy, it has a rather sweet message, almost poignant actually, and a satisfying conclusion.

When this movie came out I was really excited because it had Zac Efron in it and I though "If Zac Efron is in it, it has to be a good movie right?" WRONG this movie sucked big time it was just a snore fest with no point of existence. Along with being boring, the characters are under developed, the story is a mess, 95% of the jokes are either unfunny or don't make sense and the only thing that kept my eyes on the screen was obviously Zac but even then his character Mike seemed like a throw away character rather than the main character oh wait there's the seen where older mike got fired but guess what that was the only other remotely entertaining thing in this movie. If I could I would go back in time and convince myself not to see ever in my life.
