Too many fans seem to be blown away

Lack of good storyline.

Clever and entertaining enough to recommend even to members of the 1%

This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

I was surprised by how agile and fun this movie is, especially after reading some critics. I think I'll leave the critics in mind when deciding to watch a movie. It has fantastic moments and the cast is in full swing. Julia Roberts, who I do not always like, is perfect as an Evil Queen. Lily Collins is a good Snow White. And Armie Hammer is hilarious as Prince Alcott; he has moments of true Prince Charming and others in which I laughed a lot with him. He is a very handsome prince with a very good comic v¡iew. Nathan Lane, Mare Winningham, Sean Bean (although it is almost a cameo of the actor) and especially the dwarves are fantastic. The final dance hits me a bit, but I think it's the lack of habit of listening to this kind of music, and it does not bother me at all. I recommend his vision, no doubt.

Please watch this movie with an open mind. This is not the traditional fairy-tale story you remembered; instead it's a fairy tale with a modern twist. It has great humour, great acting (especially from Julia Roberts, she rules the screen), and good story-telling. It touches on gender equality by portraying Snow White as an intelligent and determinate woman, and not just a pretty one. These qualities of Snow White are developed through plot development, although rushed at some point, overall they was convincing. In recent years we have observed a large amount of fairy-tale remakes that attempts to match modern time morality standards and tastes. This movie, in my opinion, is the best fairy tale-reshaped of them all.

It was a good movie for fun. I wonder why so many people do not seem to like it. A perfect film for watch with family and children. The comedy, songs and dancing are very good. I even love the last song.Julia Roberts was very good in her role and the rest of the cast are okay. I very much like Nathan Lane performance. Lily Collins was looking very beautiful in her dresses. The film use some new elements apart from the Disney's classical fairy tale. It also have some twist. I must say it is better than the same year film Snow White and The Huntsman(2012).I give This film 8 out of 10.So you can watch this for fun that's all I can say.

Mirror Mirror (2012): Dir: Tarsem Singh / Cast: Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, Nathan Lane, Sean Bean: Mirror Mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? Well, certainly not this film. It is corny, campy and completely relies on its spectacular sets and colourful costumes to carry it. It regards reflection as Julia Roberts plays the evil Queen completely slaved to vanity. Her step-daughter Snow White has been locked away for eighteen years but once she ventures to the outdoor world she discovers the poverty stricken society suffering from taxes from the Queen. She also befriends seven dwarfs as well as a Prince. Begins with promise before descending into predictable tripe that becomes nearly unbearable. Director Tarsem Singh brings great visual appeal as he did with The Cell. Julia Roberts steals the film as the Queen delivering sarcasm in an icy tone. Lily Collins as Snow White is lovely and resembles a young Audrey Hepburn but her performance here is flat and hopefully not a reflection of things to come. The real disappointment is Armie Hammer's over the top performance as the Prince who is eventually struck with a spell that has him acting like a dog. This is embarrassing for an actor who delivered Oscar worthy work in films such as The Social Network and J. Edgar. Nathan Lane does his best in the forgettable role of Queen's punching bag. Sean Bean plays the king and the character is about as engaging as a seat cushion. While it attempts to liven the Snow White story it only mirrors any other failed effort to bring live action to what worked originally. Score: 5 ½ / 10
