It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

You know those wallpapers on windows XP, pretty cool, right? Imagine if you had the chance of taking a picture in one of these places, that would be extra cool, wouldn't it?That is the foundation on which this movie was built. The only thing that people seem to agree on after watching the movie was it's amazing cinematography (shoot, that was a hard word to spell). Problem is that the director and the cinematographer tricked us into thinking that by doing the thing I said in the 1st paragraph.Wanna know how to figure out whether you're being tricked or not? check out the most boring scenes in the movie (ex: shot - reverse shot scenes) and see if you still think it's great. The music choices in this movie were really cheesy, I mean come on you can't use "Space Oddity" by Bowie and expect me not to get goosebumps, I hear someone saying "then how is it cheesy?" I never said the music itself was cheesy, I said the music CHOICES were, although all the other tracks here were.Every character in this movie were super-duper cliched except Sean Penn's character... he was entertaining (shame he's in the movie for like 5 minutes).Acting? Can someone stop Ben Stiller from trying, cuz I'm starting to doubt he even does anymore, I'm sure that he's a funny guy in real life, but here his delivery is really off, and since he's the director on this one, the 'visual comedy' wasn't really comedic at all.Anyway if you watched the trailer and thought "hmmm, I might enjoy that" then go watch it, just remember that this is 114 minutes you're never getting back.

Ben Stiller is Walter Mitty, a man who looks as if he does nothing, is nothing and is perceived as nothing. Except for during his little fantasies in which he is a hero, but during these weirds moments in which he dozes off, others write him off.Until he finds a goal in life, which puts in him adventurous situations by accident, which transform him in the man he always was. A unique individual, an adventurer, a dreamer who fulfills his dreams and finds the appreciation he needs and deserves. But the appreciation doesn't come from other, but from himself. What the movie does brilliantly, is make the watcher feel connected to Walter Mitty and feels with him. You'll find him goofy, but likable. Your respect for him will grow with every minute, and at the end of the movie, you'll love him. Maybe you even recognize your own milestone moments, mountains you have climbed, seas you have sailed, so we all are bigger than we are perceived, as long as you have that respect and confidence from within.Props to Ben Stiller. Jim Carrey had his Truman Show, Will Ferrel had his Stranger Than Fiction. Ben Stiller's Walter Mitty should be in that group.

So ever since the Meet the Parents movies I never thought I would like Ben Stiller again. This movie has changed my mind. It is really hard to pinpoint an exact reason this movie makes my Top 5, but it does. It may be the coming out of your shell fell to this movie or the music placement in the scenes. Every time this movie comes on I find myself watching it. I really wish Stiller would do more movies like this one. The comedy that he does is good at times, but this movie was by far his best to date.

I saw the trailer about 2 months prior to the release. I immediately was intrigued by it, although not much a fan of Ben Stiller but I made sure to watch it. I completely loved the whole experience of seeing Ben portray Walter on the big screen. I had expectations from the trailer and the movie surpassed all of it. Ben Stiller plays the character of Walter Mitty perfectly. His direction and acting makes sure the audience connects with the character , when he day dreams and faces tough choices in life. We will definitely relate to Walter Mitty being an introvert and a wallflower the way the initial story-line is build up. Also, the movie is sprinkled with subtle comic moments and nothing too forced. The cinematography is awesome and out of the world, it is definitely immersive for the audience which will further strengthen the later part of story-line which Walter experiences a change in his personality. All in all watch this movie, you will fall in love with travelling and adventure. It will lighten up your inner desires for wanderlust and will instigate you to pack your bags and go to some unknown place.
