Memorable, crazy movie

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Collateral features an amazing turn by megastar Tom Cruise in a negative shade. This is a great work by Michael Mann whose decision to shoot at night(this is an all-nighter movie) gives the film an atmosphere that is exceptional and unique. Shot on the streets of Los Angeles Cruise plays a contract killer who hires a taxi and goes about offing people systematically. Jamie Foxx plays the taxi driver and his banter with Cruise form the majority of the running time. The dialogues are good- snappy as well as thought provoking as and when the need arises, the pacing is excellent and direction, as expected from a master filmmaker is top notch. If you are used to seeing Cruise in positive heroic roles Collateral will give you a pleasant surprise.

I know this movie has been out forever but I just rewatched it again and can't atay quiet. The plot is riddled with holes. Just dumb. Horrible movie

I am putting the facts out here.guys listen..i have seen the dvd version & blu ray they both dont do justice to this great film,this film needs to be release on new technology 4k with high resolution & dolby atmos sound coverted people need to make a petetion at dreamworks & paramount pictures for it to rerelease this again on new hd 4k blu ray.forget that john wick garbage..i like keanu reeves but tom cruise surpasses him here..tom cruise is ultimate villian in this film. i wont five the plot away here go buy the dvd or blu ray but please remember this .save this film your collection i lost a uk region 2 dvd.or this & other michael mann film called miami vice 2006 & cotraband of mark whallberg..collateral is one hell of a film.listen to the directors commentary..from start to finish this film has it all.forget mission impossible films those are nowhere near this film..forget even james bond films..this film blows every film away..i am sad that i lost this dvd forever..i will regret this the day till i die..this is tom cruise at its finest.why he was not given a oscar here is beyond me.

I don't know if any of you has noticed this detail, I guess some of you have done it, but there is a little think that I have thought about whist I watched this pure masterpiece. It's the postcard element, when Tom Cruise - or Jamis Fox - hands and watches the little postcard, showing the Pacific island. The impossible and ultimate dream of a life time. How not to think about THIEF, with James Caan handing a kind of photos patchwork of this whole past life, and showing it to Tuesday Weld, the girl whom he wants to live with. One picture means future, the other the past, I admit, but I could not prevent myself to think about this detail, me who has both features so many times. So many. That's all folks.
